No i totally disagree. Slayers are the law. Like tis been said before. If it wasn't for them then the world would be gone. And stealing money to help save the world in my books inst wrong at all. They are better then everyone. That the way it is and always will be.
Faith went down a different path her's was murder. This totally different. The world would not give them money because they don't know what a slayer is or what there doing a lot of people never even seen a demon. So stealing the money is the only real way of getting the money to put a roof over the slayers, paying for the weapons and such. Its like the Robin Hood theme stealing from the rich to give tot he poor only its steal from the rich and give to the girls that are keeping your butts safe.

I completely disagree. It's wierd. This comic has completed altered my thoughts on Buffy, and I haven't even read it yet lol. You say it's not like Faith, but it's so close it's startling. Just how bad would Buffy be for the greater good?

Questions
So was the whole Naughty Willow panel an image into the future?
Did Kenny put a spell on Dawn for sleeping with his roomate or was his roomate a thricewise?
Thoughts
I loved the story, but wasnt too happy with the art. Overall, it was okay, but especially the art in the beginning was horrible. Richards overshadows WAY too much. WAY WAY WAY too much. However, I was delighted to see his likeness of Kennedy! Absolutly amazing! But other than that, guh. Except Xander was okay. And in different panels Buffy and Willow were good.
In case you're reading this Scott Allie, I almost cried. But not quite.
I see great potential in Robin's character.
I am loving where we are being taken with Season Eight, and I'm glad to see we are no longer being held back by new characters and less-important arcs.

I loved this issue. Let's all have a round of appaluse for the issue. I loved the demon. He is perhaps the best looking Jossverse monster ever.
I'm pretty sure Willow and the mermaid thing is a vision of the future. My understanding of the Dawn incident was that Kenny (who is a Thricewise) cursed Dawn because she slept with his roommate (who is just a normal dude).

Okay so we know that Willow was intimate with that snake lady during her "6 month mystical walkabout".
This ties directly to when Angel called Giles and was informed that Will was on an astral plane!
I don't think Buffy stealing was right, but I do not blame her. She seems to have adopted a new outlook on who she is. She is responsible for the new slayers. It's a very dark thing to steal and have the others help you. Willow is right, that it was the first "domino". I love it and can't wait to see this new direction.
I'm certain Xander and the rest @ the castle know about the robbery.

I have searched all the regular spots for this issue and can't find it yet. Argh! I can't wait. I've also been looking for issues of After the Fall and can't find them. I just might have to bite the bullet and order them online. I hate waiting.

This would have made a great episode of the show, as someone else pointed out. But I didn't cry. I cry sometimes when reading books (the non-comic kind) so it isn't because I can't cry when reading. Maybe I just didn't see it as cry-worthy. It was definitely sad though. It seems that they are really trying to distance all the characters from each other emotionally. But I guess that is the direction the story is leading in. The big argument here is about Bonnie(and Clyde) The Vampire Slayer. To me that felt as though Joss put it in there to be a funny thing. Buffy's reaction to getting caught was priceless. But I guess Willow saw it as a change in Buffy's character. When I first started reading it I thought "wow, I really like the art this month" and I didn't know why but then I saw that it wasn't Georges Jeanty(not that I dislike his work). This was definitely my favorite issue art wise. I would love to see them using more artists from the original comics. I like to change things up a bit. Its still hard for me to place these new stories in the same place as the TV series and to convince myself they are just as real. I actually find it easier to relate to the original comics for some reason. I guess because I could read those without the stress of this whole canon thing hanging over my head. I just feel like I can't take Season 8 in.

I think that Willow and that creature was a past thing. It probably happened on her "6 month mystical walkabout". Also, this Buffy stealing things brings us back to "Bad Girls". She's always had it in her, although she felt bad about it back then and she probably also knows now deep down that it's wrong, but she had to do it. The world wouldn't have been saved as well as it would have been without the money.

One things that's bothering me, Buffy and Giles arn't on speaking terms and Buffy is pretty pissed off at Giles, but he gave them a long conversation about this whole mission? That's just sort of confusing.
And after re-reading this issue a couple more times, I don't dislike it as much as I did. After I finally understood everything we're suppose to know and everything we're not, it made it a lot easier.

But isn't that what a slayer dose. Shes been alone for so long its going to be hard to not feel so alone. I think that's one of the interesting things we're starting to see in the new series: Buffy isn't alone anymore, and she's becoming more and more distanced from her friends as she assimilates herself with a bunch of girls who hero-worship her. Further, I don't like to generalise, but I think that anyone who doesn't see that Buffy is becoming morally corrupt - or, at least, morally ambiguous - is completely missing the point. This conviction that Buffy is the heroine and therefore everything she does is good seems very much against what Joss and the writers have done with Buffy and the Scoobies since day one. Nothing is as black and white as good guys and bad guys. Whether it's for a good cause or not, Buffy is still putting herself above the law and... well, you can't do that. Because it's wrong. MB x

After I finally understood everything we're suppose to know and everything we're not, it made it a lot easier. That's actually really true with the Buffy/Giles thing. Can anyone explain that? Also, I have a theory on what Joss is trying to do. It's always been said that Buffy's been as strong as she is because of the support of her family and friends. Well maybe Joss is distancing Buffy from everyone and sending her down a dark path so that something bad may happen. It's just a thought.

I really like that idea! Buffy and Dawn haven't been close, then she had a fall out with Giles and now Willow. Who's next? Xander? The Slayers? This why I think the person who betrays Buffy will be herself.

Or maybe Xander will betray her, or her trust. Maybe she goes somewhere alone cause Xander gets pissed at her, resulting in her ass kicking by Twilight??

I like the idea of Buffy herself being the betrayer.

The first time through I got the distinct impression that the vision were of the future, but the second time they very much appeared to be of the past. It's really cryptic, but I think that they are revelations of past events after reading through really carefully.
