Wow tommyknockers is just gettign better and better!
Also buffyfanone...about the the relationship between lost and tommyknockers...personally I havent picked up on anything and im a huge Lost fan but I do kinda see where people woudl find similairites in themes etc....but you should def' read the book its so good.
Also reading dr Faustus for english....proving to be a bit of a challenge but much more my kind of style compared to shakespeares plays....dr faustus is all devil worship and selling your soul...just getting your head around the old english is a bit of a challenge.

Has anyone here read Sunshine by Robin McKinley? It's a vampire book, but it's not much like any vampire book you've ever read, before. Did you know McKinley is a big fan of BtVS.

half way through the Tommyknockers. stephen king is my favourite author so naturally Im LOVING this book. I havent read many of his books but I love his style and his imagination is just extrodinary! So far Iv read.... the shining salems lot pet semetary insomnia carrie nightmares and dreamscapes and now the tommyknockers...which as I said is just frigging awesome....I seldom get freaked out by films and never by books but this book is geniunely chilling...the way all the towns peoples teeth are all falling out....urgh...freaks me out. I just keep imagining all these toothless freaky townspeople all reading each others minds etc....chilling. I really like Stephen King as well. I've only read two of his books so far though. The ones I've read are: Carrie and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. I really enjoyed both of them. I really wish they'd make a movie based off of The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, that would be kick ass. I've seen pretty much all of the movies that were based off of Stephen King books. I especially liked The Storm of the Century. I'd like to read that book sometime. Secret Window was great as well. And as for Pet Sematary, that scared the **it out of me when I was younger, lol. Right now I'm reading The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkein. I haven't read this book since like 4th grade, so I don't remember much of it. I'm really enjoying it so far though. -Jess

A superb book that was turned into a passable tv mini-series. It's a slightly supernatural end of the world thing with some really well written characters. Paul

Paul Im saving this one for when Im old and wrinkly and cant move as its huge!lol...or maybe if I break somehtign and end up in bed for months... But Im on the last part of tommyknockers and its just getting incredible. Also seeing as I was nearing the end I went down WHs and bought another SK book...I saw an advert for a tv movie/series of Desperation and it looked really good so I recorded it but before I watch it Id prefer to read the book...so I bought the book. Cant wait to get into it. Kinda sounds like a mix between hils have eyes and texas chainsaw remake movies: The family caravaning holiday turning into a nightmare aspect of hills have eyes and the crazy cop guy ruling an abandoned town from texas chainsaw. Cant wait to read it! and then next up...Bag of Bones I think...or the regulators because apparently desperation and the regulators are kinda twin books...but not linked plot wise...just the same sort of theme.

"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee - not much has happened, but I'm enjoying it. "Child of the Hunt" by Christopher Golden & Nancy Holder - I like it a lot, I'm going to finish this today. "The Last Vampire" by - got this free with a lot of Buffy novels. It's interesting and not terrible, but it definitely is a "grocery store" paperback...

Oh sorry, I guess how I worded that was confusing. I got the one book, "The Last Vampire" free with 5 Buffy books that I purchased, in a lot, on eBay.

Oh, ok. Darn. LOL
I'm at a cross roads. I only have one TPB before I run out of comics to read! So I think I might start either The Book of Fours or I might reread the SYD series to get a good grip on what I need to talk to some authors about for a Site Special... Any suggestions? SYD or Bo4s?

I'm reading Stephen King's "IT".
I started it back in February and I'm only about 450 pages into it, the words are SO small and I feel like I'm getting nowhere. lol
The thickness of the book has always intimidated me and this year I promised myself I'd finish it before the end of the year. I'm a big King fan, read most of his books, my favorite being Misery.

Oh sorry, I guess how I worded that was confusing. I got the one book, "The Last Vampire" free with 5 Buffy books that I purchased, in a lot, on eBay. is that the one by christopher pike? i have a lot of his books form when I was 14/15. Reading them now I doubt Ill enjoy them half as much but when I was younger I loved his books. the last vampire isnt really his best though. you should really try 'monster'...really good book...original plot. But I went to spain for a week so had 7 days of free time and got around to finishing the tommyknockers and f**k me it is BRILLLLLLLLLLLIANTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!! One of my fav books...maybe even my fav book ever. So bloody good...the plot is all laid out so well and king brings it all together in the end perfectly. After that i read the extremely disppointing Portal through time...although reading anything after tommyknockers will make it seem crap. the writing was really amateur and although the first chapter was really good and pulled you right in the rest was just boring and almost too ambitious for a buffy book. I reckon if it was set in like season 7 or something I would find it more believeable but a 16 yr old buffy in the middle of a roman war in wales etc I just couldnt picture it...she was only young then and for something this epic to happen to her would have changed her character so much in season 2...unlike a lot of buffy books I just couldnt picture this book like a missing episode which I enjoy to do with the other books. spoiler When she staked angel I was laughing quite frankly...in season 2 it took her months to finally accept the fact she had to stake him and here she just suddenly does it...?! whatever. the story had a lot of potential and alice hendensen just didnt reach it really...the way they returned to hell on earth should have been explored a lot more rather than liek a 7 sentence paragraph...saygin there was a red sky/dragons/100 of vamps/so giles opened the portal and they jumped back out. It was just stupid and disappointing. overall 4/10. tommyknockers however....1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/10. ;D

I'm reading Spark & Burn by Diana G Gallagher. I'm also reading Pretty Little Devils by Nancy Holder, since I;ve never read anything of hers that lives outside of Buffy.
