Despite the fact that i'm 19, im reading the final installment of Lemony Snicket's "A Series of Unfortunate Events". To be fair, i've been reading it for the last two years. I just don't have the time/interest anymore. Lol. I also got mid-way through The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde. But i was bored to tears with it and hadta give up. I also started Devil Wears Prada....but it just never happened.

Wyndam...how was duma key by steph.king? I loved it. It is hard to describe it, but I would say it is easily one of Stephen King's best novels. Possibly his best outside of the Dark Tower series. cheers! il def have to check that out! vampspike I know how you feel...I seem to start a book ad just never get passed the first 200pgs nowadays. Maybe when im away from the uni campus itll be easier to settle down with a book.lol. Only full book Iv read for the past 5 or so months has been 'Do androids dream of electric sheep' which is the book bladerunner is based on and that was for one of my seminars.lol. great book though.

I am reading "Rule of Two". It's good, but I have to say the first Darth Bane novel was slightly better. But it is still a great Star Wars read so far!

Are Republic and Sith era Star Wars books any good? I know that the Darth Bane books are supposed to be really popular, but popular does not always equal good. I read a few Clone Wars novels, but they just DO NOT compare with New Republic/NJO/Legacy.
Though I did just finish Allegiance last week and that was really good. It was my only Rebellion era novel besides Shadows of the Empire. And I'm anxiously waiting for Sacrifice to come out in paperback so that I can actually get close to finishing the Legacy series.

I thought the Darth Bane books were pretty interesting. I enjoy NJO/Dark Nest/Legacy era stuff a lot more though, but that is just because I love those series. I'm not a fan of the Clone Wars era so I just stay away from those titles altogether.

I am reading book 1 in the Anita Blake series. It is called Guilty Pleasures. It is really good so far but the chapters are very short and I am usually cool with that but these chapters are SO short that just when you start to get engaged and pulled into what is going on, the scene ends!
I really like the plot so far but I am NOT at all impressed with the writing. I feel like I am reading fan fiction. Maybe the writing will get better as I get deeper into the series?

They're all kind of like that, except that as you go farther into the series there's more sex. It really is kinda like fanfic. They're fun to read but the writing doesn't really improve much. I've learned to get past the bad writing to just focus on the porn.

Sacred by Dennis Lehane. Boston set crime noir, if you're not familiar with his novels, the movies Mystic River and Gone Baby Gone are based on his books.

I just finished "The Old Man and the Sea" and now I'm reading "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" (I'm reading the classics, but only the short ones.)
Last week I read "The Great Gatsby" (awesome) and next week I'm starting "Farenheit 451" for my english class.

Just started Stephen King's Dark Tower V: Wolves of the Calla. No idea how it'll be, but if it's anything like the others, then it should be good. Though I do find the crossover with 'Salem's Lot to be a little weird.

I finished reading Buffy's 'Here Be Monsters' a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it. I've read the prologue of Buffy's 'Ghoul Trouble' and I'm gonna start reading chapter 1 now.

I finished Patricia Briggs Moon Called this morning at work. Tonight I'm gonna start Bram Stoker's Dracula. I can't believe I haven't actually read it yet. Too much focus on Buffy, I guess.
I'm also still reading Harry Potter 5, but it's going quicker now than when I first started it.
