It was a tough choice between Lorne and Wesley, but of course, I had to choose Wesley. Probably the best developed Buffyverse character.

Wesley hands down. He ended up being the most fascinating and tragic character in the buffyverse imo. I love Angel and Doyle a whole lot too but the rest are miles behind.

I gotta give it up to Lorne here. Wesley developed well on this show, and was better here than Buffy. Angel was at his best in season 2. Gunn developed well, especially that last season.
Lorne, though? Lorne was just all kinds of rockin' all the time!

Okay, this is really no competition because its called Angel, so I picked Angel! Because bascially he's the main character of the whole entire show.

Wesley (duh). Wesley is pretty much my favorite character in all of television or film. Same here, though I'd include any and all fiction.

Spike is my fav of the whole buffyverse so of he's definitely my choice. Although since recently watching Angel Wesley is beginning to become a fav of mine.

This was hard cause I actually really like the major males in Angel. I'll vote Doyle cause he's not doing so well, but it could have easily been Angel, Wes, Gunn or Connor too.

Hard one, I like a lot of the guys on Angel, but if I had to choose an absolute favorite I'd have to go with Wesley. But I also really like Angel & Connor.

I love Wesley and Angel. Angel for how he's grown as a character and DB's growth as an actor. Wesley is just amazing to watch. Seeing him in Buffy S3 again recently, it adds such depth to understand where his journey will take him.
Even at his darkest moments, he still believed in something so strongly that while he flirted with the darkness, he wasn't consumed by it. When he "saw a darkness inside" it still couldn't rival his belief in doing good. I love him for how he always tries. There's a cloud of misfortune that follows his character - I hope he finds some happiness or peace.
I feel like he's more tragic in some ways than Angel because he's not fighting for redemption. When Angel suffers there's a feeling of a karmic balance for the evil wrought in his past. When Wesley suffers it's like fate will never give him a break. He fights the good fight to help others at the sacrifice of his own personal happiness. Like Gunn and Fred and Cordelia, but I feel Wes is always left out in the cold when it comes to fulfilling personal relationships compared to the others. Pining for Fred for 3 years only to finally have her to then lose her again; taking Connor from Angel in order to protect them both only to be nearly murdered and then abandoned by his friends.

I love Angel, but he is the most obvious choice so I decided to vote for Lorne. He really is my fave character of the show, I believe. A close second for me would definitely be Doyle. I loved him in the first season.

I voted for Angel. His character is pretty iconic and I really enjoyed seeing him grow during his own show.

Voted Wesley...I was almost tempted to go with Lorne though since he's such a lovable character

I was going to vote for Wesley, however, all the reasons have been stated above. I decided to vote for Gunn. Wesley definitely throughout the entire series (including Buffy) was an intriguing and interesting character. I was glad to see his role progress.
Gunn, had a similar progression as he became much more than the muscle of the group. He made strides not only emotionally but also in his personality. He became a much more well-rounded character which is clearly evident now as he deals with becoming something that he has despised his entire life. Joss Whedon has a knack for creating incredible roles not only for strong women but also strong men.
