Renee's fate in Question?

Hey guys i haven't read the comic yet, but can anyone tell me if Renee looks definitely dead, or if they may save her somehow (a spell, medical aid, whatever?)?

She is one of the few characters i've actually grown to like from season eight, and i don't really want her to depart so soon from the plot.

I should have known. i was wishing that Satsu would live, forgetting about renee.

I should have known better after 7 seasons of Buffy, 5 of angel and the Firefly verse.

I think Renee looks dead dead cant see her coming back not after the way she was killed anyway i don't want to say to much and spoil it

She looks surprised. Surprised and because of the large wound, like she would be dead as soon as the Scythe is pulled out.

I think she's dead, and I hope she is too. If she somehow survives from that wound, or Willow heals her, I think it would be very cheap. Renee being dead will probably change Xander, and I think it'd be interesting to see what happens with his character, as long as he doesn't blame Buffy.

Good rules. But i can't. I can stay away from the season 8 section, but it's hard not to check the latest posts.

ah well. it's not like this beats the Satsu/Buffy spolier. Some user at slayerverse.org gave a preview of issue 12, and asked in the title "Buffy's a lesbian?" That made me mad.

i just thought this section wasn't spoiler-free and i could talk about this.



i think this will bring some deep changes in xander's character. i mean, with cordy dead and forgotten and anya killed....the first girls he become attached to dies.
it's likely he'll start going over the same thoughts willow had on issue #10 - is he willing to sacrifice his lovelife (better, his very LIFE) for Buffy's cause?
I kinda cheapened the meaning of willow's action with my last words, I know, but you know what I mean.

Ya we treat the section as spoiler free, but it still shows up in the "35 latest posts".

I wonder is there a way to hide the posts on the "35 latest" (like cover them with a spoiler warning) for the first few days after the issues come out. The post would show up in the "35 latest" list, but you couldn't read it til you went to the actual thread.

I got spoiled for this most recent Buffy comic, too. I just couldn't stay away from Slayalive. Solidarity, El Diablo.

The title was way too spoilery for now. If this was posted, say next week...it would have been a little more acceptable. So I edited it for pablo. It's no big deal, but try to make thread titles a little less...spoilerish

It doesn't just show up in the "35 Latest Posts" section--it also appears on the main forum index if it's the most recently updated thread in the entire S8 forum, as well as down at the bottom of the main index page (just above the "Users Online" area) if it's the thread someone has last posted in.

Just please, try to think it thru a little more beforehand. 5 more seconds was all it'd take to come up with alternative titles like "Quick Question About Issue #14", or "Question About Renee in #14", something like that. There's lots of other parts of the forums I'd like to be able to visit in the extra day I have to wait to get my copy each month, and don't want to have to avoid this place entirely just because I might see something in a thread title that I'd rather not have...

Definately dead. It'd be a really big copout to bring her back from that. This is clearly something being done in regards to Xander's development.

I want her to stay. dead. Even though I was surprisingly sad, and I have grown to like the charactor. I think it would be too cheesey to bring her back.

i don't think it would be a copout to bring renee back to life... i think the very happening of renee getting the scythe run through her chest would be enough for a serious re-evaluation by xander, whether renee dies or not.

Totally agree but I think she is dead. I can see them using this to make Xander a darker character or something like that.

Not just a good waste of three pages, it's also a good waste of a cliffhanger and great character development.
