I'm tied between Fred and Anya, but I'm going to have to go with Fred just for the sake of that line being able to make me cry every time.

Hm. I wish Doyle's "Too bad we'll never know if this is a face you could learn to love." wasn't here. Now I have to pick Fred.
Hm, your poll, but wouldn't it make more sense to use Tara instead of Lorne, Angel or Wesley? Even Eve's would do better.

If we're doing famous last words, as in words before they die, I wanna do Buffy's speech in 'The Gift'. I know she came back yadda yadda yadda, but I thought she was dead for good at the time, until I went online while sobbing to find out Buffy was moving to UPN. Plus those are some awesome famous last words.
"Dawn, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will *always* love you. But this is the work that I have to do. Tell Giles ... tell Giles I figured it out. And, and I'm okay. And give my love to my friends. You have to take care of them now. You have to take care of each other. You have to be strong. Dawn, the hardest thing in this world ... is to live in it. Be brave. Live. For me." - Buffy 'The Gift'
Or if that's too long, with the LAST of the famous last line being:
"Be brave. Live. For me."

Hm, your poll, but wouldn't it make more sense to use Tara instead of Lorne, Angel or Wesley? Even Eve's would do better. Tara's last words are "Your shirt..." which is pretty dull IMO. Angel and Lorne's last words actually say something about their characters, hence the reason why they were included. As for Eve, I only made this poll about regulars. Otherwise Lindsey would have been included. And by famous last words, I mean the dialogue in which the characters literally say goodbye forever to the audience with. Hence no Buffy in "The Gift" option.

I'll go for Gunn :"Then lets make them memorable."

I'll go for Gunn :"Then lets make them memorable." I'm choosing that as well. I always get excited with goosebumps when he says that line, because I know the show is about to end. I, of course, love the last scenes with Wesley and Fred, but Gunn's line is equally as fantastic, imo. It sends chills down my spine every time I hear it (the good chills, like if you hear a great song or watch a great scene in a film).

Lorne, a depressing end for him, but such a fantastic line that works well on SO many levels for the character.

Those weren't Doyles last words! But I'd have to go for Cordy. Only episodes that make me wanna cry.

Holy crap, Wesley. Best written scene of all time, IMO. Counting script or prose. Couldn't be better. The writing, as well as Alexis's performance, is literally unrivaled for me. Can't believe I'm the first to vote on that.

But they're not gone, they don't say goodbye forever to the audience. Angel and Lorne are alive in the comics. And Wes and Gunn are still existing there too. The only ones who really count as options then are Fred, Doyle, Cordy and Anya.

On the Doyle thing, I went for what he said the last time we ever saw him, not what the character's last words technically were. But now I remember he appeared in "You're Welcome" and did not say the quote in the poll. Oh well, whatever. But they're not gone, they don't say goodbye forever to the audience. Angel and Lorne are alive in the comics. And Wes and Gunn are still existing there too. The only ones who really count as options then are Fred, Doyle, Cordy and Anya. I thinking strictly in terms of the TV shows. I personally don't view the comics as canon(although I enjoy them), mainly because I believe TV characters belong just as much to the actors who bring them to life as they do to the writers.

"Your shirt...." still gets me. Me too. Every time I see that episode, I find myself expecting her to stand just a little to the left so that the bullet misses her. She never does, though.

Definitely Tara's for me, it's such an odd last thing to say, yet heartbreaking. I miss Tara so much I also like Angel's quote up there.

Fans can totally ignore the comics. They can not read them and only choose to look at the television series. I don't really get that, but it's totally their perogative. But it doesn't make the series any less canon. There is no "personally" with canon, it's just the way it is. I can't, personally, think that Oak Trees aren't really trees. It just doesn't work. The whole point of canon is that it is the strict storyline, and it isn't really up for debate when it's announced that something is canon. The comics are canon, because Joss said they are. Dassit.

I voted for Fred.
Most of the deaths were sudden events, not dragged out for nearly an entire episode. For me,that entire ep. were her last words.
While not her last words, when Buffy says "Mommy" when she sees Joyce dead on the couch was very upseting as well
