I don't know about you guys but I'm feeling that Dollhouse is being rushed. It seems like just yesterday, Joss and Eliza were first discussing the show at a restaurant. I'm worried that it might not turn out good. But I need to have some Faith in my Joss, since Joss hasn't let me down yet. What do you guys think about this. Oh, and how did you guys like my inside joke: I need to have some Faith in my Joss? Get it? -Ben

I don't really feel that way. I mean, it was like 7 months ago when FOX made a commitment to the show, and they are still working on the first episode, and we still have about 6-7 months until it airs. I think everything will work out fine.

It was very synchronistic, Eliza's deal with Fox, her meeting with Joss, their pitch. Everything just was right. And like this poster just said, it's still six or seven months until the show begins. They have plenty of time to get it right.

pre production usually only lasts about 2 or 3 months. then they film the seasons episodes and all that, and then do all the editing needed. they actually seem to be on schedule if not ahead.
Movies tend to take longer in pre production but tv shows can be done within a year. And Im sure Joss has had this idea SOMEWHERE in the back of his mind for a while

Yeah it sounds to me like everything is coming together very well. Fox is finally putting some faith in Joss (probably from all the money they make on the Firefly DVDs), and have given him ample time to get things rolling.

I gotta agree with other posters, this project doesn't feel rushed to me. If it were airing in September I might see the OP's argument, but it's not premiering til January. Critical reports of the first episode's script have been very positive and from sneak peaks of the set along with the Dollhouse trailer, I get the feeling that it's all high quality work and creativity coming together with a nice production budget.
No worries from me, except that January seems soooooo far off.

Doesn't seem rushed at all. The process of this show is similar in pacing to any television show out there. In fact, "Dollhouse" has had more time because it's going to air in mid-season.
