Okay we've all been talking about it but I thought I'd make a poll so we can clearly see what everybodys opinions are on the subject of the mystery character on the variant cover for issue seventeen. So who is the powerful foe from Buffy's past? We have recieved the synopsis for each issue and so far this is as much information as we have, except for the covers. Below is the synopsis read away, vote and discuss.
On a hot tip, Buffy and Willow head to Manhattan hoping to unlock the secrets of Buffy's mysterious scythe, but something goes terribly awry when Buffy suddenly finds herself transported to an unknown world, and into the path of future Slayer Fray. After there shaky introduction, Buffy and Fray must join forces in order to discover the purpose of their meeting, and its impact on the world at large. Meanwhile a powerful enemy from Buffy's past confronts the Slayer and Fray in the future, having allied with Fray's evil twin brother Harth. Buffy and Fray take on the powerful foe, who’s lasted hundreds of years just so she can bring down the last two Slayers in existance and end the slayer line once and for all.

In my opinion, I think Drusilla makes more sense. Dark Willow can mean a bunch of different things, including being the mystery person, but right now I don't see how. I can't see Dark Willow teaming up with vamps or even wearing that type of clothing. Also becoming immortal and wanting to kill Melaka and Buffy. What would be the point? When Willow went evil in Season 6, it had NOTHING to do with killing Slayers. All those points make sense for it to be Drusilla.
Of course, I could be completely wrong. We have the #19 cover and there could be future events that leads to Willow becoming evil, immortal and hating Buffy, but until we find out for sure, I think it's Drusilla.

My guess is Drusilla as well. Am I 100% positive? Heck no. Just based on what we've seen and read, that's who my initial gut reaction is. It could very well be Dark Willow, and I certainly won't be surprised if it is (based on the #19 cover). My initial instincts still say Drusilla though.
Just have to wait it out.

A case can be made for DarkWillow, but it requires a fair amount of speculation with no firm factual basis behind it. Dru fits the known evidence, and the case can be made for her with a much simpler theory that doesn't need quite so much wild-ass guessing. So, chalk up another vote for Drusilla...

Agreeing with Dru.
Dark Willow hardley makes sense unless you fan wank enough. Whereas Dru would be completely in character.

Other. I don't think it will be Dark Willow A) because i don't even believe that it is Darth Willow in the cover all iv seen is a few veins. When she dose big magics she goes all black eyes and all so... the cover doesn't mean she went to the dark side again. B) No way in hell would Dark Willow be a slackly to some one else.
I don't think it's Dru because A) How on earth is she and a quote "A powerful enemy from Buffy's past confronts the Slayer and Fray in the future" When was she EVER a powerful enemy of Buffy's? She was a b rated villain nothing more. Willow fits that part better then Dru. B) I highly doubt that when all magic ends and junk that Dru would be among the last vampires around... again she is B list.
Don't think its Robbin because well.... she fits nothing. Other then she may look a bit like the figure we cant even see in the cover.
I'm thinking its some one Else. If i had to chose though from the list i would say Willow i guess. :\

For the vote,I chose Willow(although maybe not exactly "Dark")
I really wanted to say Dru,but to further the overall story of the season,it really wouldn't make a whole lot of sense

Yes, the cover of issue 20 is Dark Willow. But the woman with Harth on the cover of issue 17 is Drusilla. IMO :broody: Dark Willow as the big bad just...bothers me. I think the cover is meant to lead us on a wild goose chase

Hands down Drusilla at the moment. And I'm quite looking forward to seeing her again. We haven't seen present day Dru since 'Crush' in Buffy season 5.
I also think that the betrayal that was confirmed in 'Anywhere But Here' will happen in 'Time Of Your Life part 4', judging by the cover for Issue #19.

Here's my take:
Drusilla is the old enemy that teams up with Harth in the future in Issue 17. But Willow goes Dark Willow in Issue 19. Not sure to what extant Willow goes bad, but it happens.
Why can't we have both? It makes more sense that the returning character is Drusilla. Willow is always around, the darkness is always inside her and she's tapped into in Season 8 already.

I'm just not seeing that it is Dark Willow in the cover.... am i missing something. Her hair is not black! To me it looks more like Get It Done Willow then Dark Willow. Also Dru is why thinner then the figure looks in the cover... could say the same for Willow too i guess. Amy could be a shocker:P

Willow, not sure if shes dark or not but def Willow. I think theres already too much going on in this arc to throw in Dru. I just dont see the point of her being in this when its seeming to be kinda centering around Willow. I guess we will see!

That is Willow without a doubt ont he cover. Hopefully you are being sarcastic. Whether or not she is int he future, I dunno. I like the idea of her being there but I don't like the idea that she is immortal, slowed/can not age or she is a vamp.

I don't think id like it if she was immortal i really don't think she deserves to be immortal.. with her power and the way she flew of the handles in season 6. I just couldn't trust her being immortal.

In The cover for issue 19 she has vains on her face which would show more of a Dark Willow than "Get It Done" Willow.

Her eyes in the picture are fully black, but because of the of buffys reflection its hard to notice, (well to me it looks fully black), also the varient cover does look more like willow than drusilla, but willow has never been a powerful enemy from buffys past, apart from season 6, but why would she want to take down the last two slayers?,
However I think all signs point to willow, she either transported herself into the future which is why buffys reflection is in her eye, or its willow trying to get buffy back to the modern day and gone a bit mental in the process.

I think Dru's going to be in a one shot, and then Willow will go batsu insane later in the arch.
