i hope joss reads this: joss true fans wont care about the first buffy movie ever made just as long as another good one can replace it with the events happening now thats fine. i mean come, on sex and the city had a film and i dont watch that show to me it looks boring and pointless. =[ sad to say. i know u can do a new version of buffy, the show clearly erased the old movie from our minds anyway so please do another buffy movie. please with

I would like a Buffy movie, as long as the script was good and all the actors participated. Maybe it could be like the new X Files movie coming out, where its not based on the storyline but instead its like a regular episode but longer. You know? Maybe a Trilogy if they tolled the storyline. But I'm nervous because I don't want the sequels to suck.

I would personally love a movie. I think a trilogy idea would work, have a story that can work for each movie but span it out to three a lot like Lord of the Rings. Each movie was great on their own but amazing together. Would love it not to be a part of the comic and just take off from where the series ended and end the story on its own. If it took the comic into consideration it would confuse too many people.

With all of the recent hoopla over the Sex and the City movie, and the recent news that Friends and The Sopranos may be making their way to the big screen, AND a new X-Files movie coming out soon, there's no way that they aren't at least discussing this over at Buffy central. Whether a movie will be made is hard to say for sure, but it seems like TV-show based movies might be becoming the next big thing since superhero/comic book movies.
So I say bring on Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Movie.

Wrong Forum.
And I'm fine with the comics. No movie please. I'm past that, I doubt it will happen anyway.

I can totally see a movie happen. If Dollhouse doesn't last (which I'm PRAYING it does), or ends after a couple seasons, I can easily see Joss being open to it, he thinks "it'd be cool". We still have a few more years of the comics, and I can see a big movie to finish it all. All the cast seems open to it too:
Sarah: She seems more open to it now then she ever was before. "Never say never". She also mentioned there it talk. Nicholas: Mentioned he'd love to play Xander again. Anthony: Mentioned he'd love to play Giles again. Michelle: As long as Sarah is there, she'll be there.
Not to sure on Alyson, but if everyone is back, I don't see how she'd say no. I'm not getting my hopes up, but it's easily a possibility.

Come talk to me when plans for it have been officially announced. Until then, all the talking and hoping and poll-making are pretty much pointless.
I'd like to be proven wrong, but I think the chances of it ever happening extremely unlikely, so I'm not spending huge amounts of time hoping and praying for it...

I'm happy with the comics. If a movie was made then it would have to be a stand alone like Xfiles. If it canceled out the comics i wouldn't want to watch it.

As much as I would love to see the cast get together for a revisiting of the Buffyverse,I really don't see it happening.Joss has alot of projects on his plate at the moment(ie Dollhouse, season 8,Dr.Horrible,etc.).

So I say bring on Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Movie. Except that the movies stated all fulfill a different niche. It's like comparing the LotR franchise to The Devil Wears Prada. Both are based on bestselling books, but the demographic overlap is marginal. And this may come out harsh, but I really don't care to see a movie with a bunch of tired actors that require a healthy dose of imagination (and suspension of belief, not to mention "work") to look as youthful as their fictional counterparts. The comics work just fine, with even less imagination, since there are already pictures. And no obvious stunt doubles... always a plus.

I'd love to have a movie, but I'll admit that I wouldn't be too happy about it if it canceled out the comics.
The new TV show-to-Movie thing seems to be it, with Sex and the City having done well and confirmation that HBO and WB are ready for a second one, The X-Files releasing their second movie, talk of a Friends movie (which, last I heard, was a definite nowhere near go at all ever), The Sopranos, and even Land of the Lost getting a reimaging starring Will Farrell.
I think Joss could totally handle making a movie at this point in time, because--and correct me if I'm wrong here--it seems to me that he's not running Dollhouse as closely as he ran Buffy. Looks like he wrote and shot the pilot, and then is going to gently guide it in the right direction while leaving someone else to run his show--sort of like how Marti ran Buffy during the last two seasons while Joss did Angel and, was mostly involved with Firefly. And so what if he's writing Season 8? He can still write a movie if he wants. Last I noticed, Brian Lynch was writing Angel: Atf, Spike: Atf, Everybody's Dead, was working on a Puss In Boots spinoff movie, and a screenplay of The Sims. DAMN that's a lot, but if he can do it, Joss sure as hell can.

Like the real kind? I think making it dark like a horror movie would be....not good. The way season 8 is now is fine and it feels like Buffy. It there was Buffy: The Horror Movie, It would feel less like the show IMO, even though we have horror like episodes.

I'd love one. And it's more a possibilty now that it ever has been before, what with all the movie returns of TV shows like Sex And The City and The X Files. I can see it happening, however won't get my hopes up. And I'd be interested to hear how Alyson feels about it, cause we haven't heard much from her regarding it lately.

I want a movie, as long as it doesn't mess up season 8.
It took me about 6 issues, but now I'm in love with season 8 and the new plot. Sure, I miss the actors interpretations of their characters, but...
Ah, whatehell. I'll still love season 8, even if it won't be considered canon anymore.
Bring on the movie!
