1) Computer Animated Commercial for BUFFY LIVES Petition. What if Illyria's Pet could make an animated commercial in the same style as his Animated Season 8, only it would be scripted to pimp out the BUFFY LIVES petition? ***COMPLETED by Illyria's Pet***2) Petition Banners designed by the many Buffy Photoshop artistes online. In fact there could be banners, avatars, anything to get this idea out there on the internet. 3) Myspace page, facebook page, etc. 4) An advertising poster. Take the cover from issue 20 of Buffy/Xander/Willow watching the cartoon and say "The Scoobies want a Buffy cartoon. Don't you?" (note to self: why are ALL my best ideas illegal?) 5) An advertising poster. Take all the quotes from Buffy Voted Best and put them on a poster. It could be something like Buffy and the gang are fighting in typical buffy style, then after she stakes, she could turn towards the camera and talk about the petition. I think a buffy video similar in style to this should be made: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAAgnc48Vrwi know the clip is of gossip girl..but i think its a good idea how they show the tv shows affect on the media (from :35-1:00) Just an idea Don't know if this would work or if it's even a good idea, but maybe once the petition is actually made, we could ask Scott Allie to mention it in the Slay the Critics section. Just briefly described it and give the URL. Also I was a video major in college and I think I've got some pretty good video editing skills if people are still interested in making more petition vids. YES! That'd be awesome, Dragonweaver. I've got another concept for a video brewing in my head. Opens with a black screen and white text that says "Animated", next screen says "To be Full of Life". Then we're shown comic panels of numerous Buffyverse characters. It stays on each character long enough for the camera focus to slide around, simulating movement but still showing that they are frozen. Like they're trying to break free. The last character comic panel I want to finish with Fray and have it zoom in on her eyes. Then fade to black. White text says "Do you want to be animated?" Final screen says: Resurrect the Buffyverse Sign the Petition www.thepetitionsite.com/1/slayalive-we-want-buffyanimated*and something about Slayalive Well, Im no video major, but im pretty good on photoshop....and making animated gifs, which can then be used in a video im thinking. having flashes of each character and then blending/morphing into their cartoon counterpart. having some wicked sound effects in the background, maybe using the montage from "The Gift" in the background. then finish the video with a picture of Buffy standing on top of a crypt, hair blowing, rain falling, lighting in the background, with some wicked sound effects in the background and then have some witty words on the screen.

I like both willowswarlok idea and your idea Emmie.
I've got a question through, where would the comic panels come from. Are you thinking Buffy season 8 images or something like the drawings Mikey & CowboyGuy came up with?

Are you thinking Buffy season 8 images or something like the drawings Mikey & CowboyGuy came up with? I was thinking the panels from Season 8 and Fray would look awesome. Maybe use the art from the issue covers and the TPB's like Long Way Home's TPB has that beautiful image of Buffy, Willow and Xander. I believe Willow'sWarlock has started to piece his concept together. My concept I hand over to you freely, Dragonweaver, but I'd love to further discuss it with you. I lack the technical know-how to bring the concept to life; I'm purely an ideas woman.

Remember that when using comic-pics to only use the ones we get from the previews.
And fellow youtube-fanvideo-makers, spam your subscribers.

My video ad is complete and everything. I'm just waiting for TC's Xander voice and it should be out by the end of the day.. That will get another 100 signatures to the petition!

I'm even thinking about animating the text a little and adding sound effects to give it a little extra kick. Which brings me to my next question: Music? Any ideas on that? There's music on my computer that I can use, ones without copyright issues, but I don't know if you have a specific theme or song you're looking for.

Guys, if you put up petition-vids on youtube, remember to use the video-response function, so that more people just happen to see the petition. Do it specially to the other guys that have the animated-clip up.

Hi all ! I am new on this forum so firstly I am gonna tell you a few things about me ! I am 20, I am french, I am a student (nothing crazy about that), and, as I guess you all are, I am a huge buffy/angel fan. I am very happy to find new people very commited to the idea of Re-Animating Buffy, as I have been searching a strong community to do this since last friday. for me, Btas is our only hope to see Buffy on a screen again, as movies project are very hard to achieve. Btas would also give us more of what is sadly lacking in the comic (which I love), that is to say dialogs. The Facebook group is growing, I am trying my best in that direction. I have a few ideas to share and I hope you will be interested ! 1) Creating a real website, more than just a subforum. My idea would be to redesign www.buffyanimated.com, I know the webmaster and he is eager to find some help. His site is currently very simple and not very cute, and as I have seen there are some quite good (understand awesome) graphists here, they could help him in that way. Here is his e-mail (scooby@skytex.net). 2) Spreading the word and getting some attention from the less hardcore fans seems crucial at this point. To do that, I think we should try to get the support of eminent people who worked in the Btas project. Eric Wight, the artist who drawed the pilot presentation, could be a huge help. I am ready to contact him on Facebook to try to have at least an interview. Such an interview would be better suited for a website than for a forum and would give us a chance to appear on the radar of sites like whedonesque.com. 3) IMHO, we need more than just a petition. I have been thinking that a promess to buy the dvd could written, then printed by the fans and signed and sent to Mutant Enemy or Joss Whedon. That's all i have for now, but I am really happy to have found you ! I had found a site, now I have the forum. Things are taking shape
