I think a RPG game for PS3 would be one of the best Buffy merchandise ever produced! I can not even imagine how awesome it could be if handled corectly!

Something we need to think about is DO WE WANT any BUFFY GAME or a SEASON EIGHT BUFFY GAME? That actually needs to be decided before we get too many DH people involved.

Whoa, well I want everyone to hold off on contacting anyone. If you notice above, this is a poll. I want lots of votes before we show this idea off to anyone!
What we need to talk about are game ideas, play techniques and such. If they see we are interested in a well made game that would be adding more support.
I don't wanna bombard Scott Allie or Georges like a bunch of giddy schoolgirls emailing them. We need to wait until we have something substantial to show!!

Exactly. I don't even know why they were brought up.
If the publisher and Joss decide on going with a Season 8 theme and want to use that art style they'd contact Georges or Jo Chen or whoever. Jo Chen has been known to do video game art in the past. She did the art design for "Fable".

I had the same question about DH. But either way, I emailed Scott already. Oops. I just asked him what he thought the chances were of a video game and his opinion and those couple little things.

That's fine, but lets shy away from that aspect until we get more people on board with our idea. It will take a few days for everyone to come online, vote and post their thoughts.  I plan on sending this information to EA Games/Vivendi/Eurocom. The developers of the first games. I have a friend who works for EA, so that will be great for us. Also, I want to send this to Joss as well. Lucky for us I have his info! But I'll never tell! I think a Season 8 game would be cool! But I don't mind anything really. I even think a battle game would be nice. |

a buffy game on the new gen would be great a ps3 and 360 multi platform release would be best wii is just too weak
some things i would like to see
obviously like mentioned before cast particiption in voice overs
i personelly dot think it should be a season 8 game. i believe they should stick to the show
the fihting system should be deep and varied per char.
lenth of the game is important
joss involement is important

I believe that a season 8 video game based on the storyline of season 8 would be so cool. It would also bring in non season 8 readers that are fans of the show and would go out and buy the video game. It could be like a lost episode from season 8 written by Joss. It obviously doesn't have to be canon but could be if created well |

Why don't we start creating some concepts for a game over here and see what we come up with? I've got 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Twilight Falling' I've been looking at upcoming video games being developed by The Collective and O.M.G, Silent Hill V has the graphics of a film! They are actually amazing. I do like the dark tone that I got from the screenshots... www.collectivestudios.com/Games/showproduct.asp?ID=319This season 8 dark tone would be awesome mixed with the humor and just natural Buffy-ness. I would love to see Buffy fighting virtually as well as Faith. However, I didn't really like 'Chaos Bleeds' due to it's fighting system and that kind of put me fighting as people like Willow and Xander. However, the collective, creator of the first Buffy video, had created a system called 'Slayer' used in the Buffy game as well as 'Indiana Jones'. Which gives full on combat and comfortable smooth control pad use in fight sequences. |

Buffysmglover I do really enjoy the sound of that concept. However I think that the title is a little too vague. I think naming it like an actual episode would be better suited and that's why I'm thinking that Twilight Falling isn't such a good idea. I would really enjoy seeing what happened in that missing year between season 7 & 8 but if this is soon to be uncovered in season 8 it would be a waste of time. Chaos Bleeds and the original Buffy video game were 'Lost episodes' and I believe it would be better suited to carry on this tradition. We need a storyline that may fit in with season 8 but something that doesn't neccessarily have to be canon if Joss Whedon doesn't want it to be. I'm gonna give it some thought and get some ideas posted.

I think it would be kind of cool if the only playable characters at the start of the game were previously unnamed slayers. Maybe Buffy, Faith, Willow, Giant Dawn, etc. could be unlocked later on. I've been playing Marvel: Ultimate Alliance a hell of a lot in the last few days with a few friends, and I think a game in that vein would be freakin' sweet.

Sorry... I am just excited that the idea is coming about. I have an idea for a first level: Abandoned Warehouse/ Factory Film sequence: Open with a girl (slayer) standing outside warehouse, mission gear at the ready and Buffy speaking to her about launching action on the vamp nest inside. A helicopter comes above her and two other slayers jump out and jump onto the roof of the warehouse. Buffy tells the girl to kick the door through and just as she does this the vamp gangturn towards her and the camera pans toward her. The two other slayers jump through a skylight and the vamp gang surround the three girls. The girls take action and begin fighting until they begin to lose ground and are beaten to the ground. As the vamps lunge in, 'Hey!' it's Buffy as she punches one of the vamps onto a pile of crates and grabs her crossbow and shoots another. The girls get up and Buffy says to them, 'Let's turn this thing around'. END OF FILM SEQUENCE. You then play as Buffy in ending the vamp nest. Just an idea lol |

story :::::::i think the story line should deal with the events right after **chosen** and before **the long way home**. even though the hell mouth is destroyed in sunnydale the first isnt. he lives forever. so the first attempsts to destroy the slayer one last time.
gameplay: the game play should be like lord of the rings when all of the charaters fight and you can switch between slayer in battle. also buffy should be on a joruney looking for the slayer before **the long way home**you can even play as willow , xander , faith , principal wood and (dawn this time) and some of the slayers, vi-rowna-kennedy-and shannon *** also past slayer should be included ( the first )*** u should even be able to make your own slayer =)
gameplay 2: regular slayer powers much stronger and buffy and characters should look more realistic also since slayer's can run fast they should have a boost button **check matrix game run** and if u need more strength you should have a boost button for that too. and they should show slayer power such as picking up heavey things throwing them and falling from high places and not loosing too much health. ( not like the first 2)
enimes: turok-hans and vampires and old enimeis =) =) deff turok-hans = uber vamps
also buffy should have an extra navigation on the settings were u can just train for fun
