HAPPY EARLY CHRISTMAS SEASON  Thought I'd make use of the special holiday button in the awesome new layout (Kudos Phil!) and I will add that your tree in 2008 was soooo bright and beautiful! I'm putting up my chrissy decs this weekend when my sister moves in I can't wait! Everyone post pictures of your festive houses once you do yours too.... I know most people wait until closer to the day but I just love Xmas |

Yay! Happy holidays everyone! When I go home I'll snap some pictures with my phone to post. My mom has pretty much abandoned most Jewish traditions, but we still keep/light a menorah for Hanukkah. |

Since I'm not home idk what the decorations status is there but here in my dorm we decorated our common room ... we're on the 11th floor of the third tower of dorms so we're "11C" ... obvs    I <3 my floor |

Bah... humbug! Speaking of that, is anyone going to see A Christmas Carol out in Theatres? I already saw it this year on stage so I don't think I'll be seeing the movie version till later this month probably.  |

Today at church we tried to make gingerbread trees to take to old people next week.
It was a gigantic fail. We didn't have an electric beater, so we were trying to mix the icing by hand, but it was hardening too fast. So, we tried to add a little bit more water, but this kid thought 'a little' meant 'drown it', so then it was way too watery. Then we looked for confectioner's sugar, because you're apparently supposed to add that to thicken it. And we couldn't find any, so instead we used baking soda. It worked okay. At first it didn't taste too bad either, but after a second it got really really salty.
