I don't buy the comics (well only #1-#5 and #20 I wait for the TPB's) But I will be buying both covers of this... I love Harmony... I hope they don't kill her off like they did with so many others...

I gave up on waiting for TPBs for Buffy. You just don't get enough extra stuff in them for me to wait. The ATF hardcovers on the other hand are awesome, so I gladly sit and wait, as agonising as it is.

After seeing the other preview pages, this issue looks completely ridiculous.

After seeing the other preview pages, this issue looks completely ridiculous. Totally agree, I was just thinking the same thing. Looks to be the worst issue yet and is it just me or is the art quite off in this issue. Georges is usually very consistant...oh well. I hope the other issues for this "vampires in public" arc are better.

After seeing the other preview pages, this issue looks completely ridiculous. I do think the Andy Dick thing is good for a laugh, but I'm still not too thrilled on the whole Harmony arc thing. Hopefully there will be some behind the scenes things that will make up for this, I'm not the biggest Harm fan. We shall see...

Hopefully there will be some behind the scenes things that will make up for this, I'm not the biggest Harm fan. We shall see... It's been said a million and five times by now but I'll just throw it out there again: IT ISN'T A HARMONY ARC! Harmony kicks it off. It's five pseudo-stand-alone issues from five different perspectives. First up is Harmony. Second is Kennedy and Satsu. Third is Andrew and Buffy. Fourth is Giles and Faith and we finish with Xander and Dawn. How does this keep getting brought up?

Can anybody tell me how some people can say this issue is going to be bad without seeing the whole comic book? It's no problem to dislike a story, but please read the whole story before judging... :)And yes, this isn't a Harmony arc, that's for sure. But I don't see why she cannot show up in the other comics (#22 or #23 or further on). So you're right, this isn't a Harmony arc, but saying she will only show up in #21 because it's a standalone is also a little to easy for me. P.S. If Harm will die tomorrow during this storyline, please forget the part between smilies!

Ok, sorry I had a poor choice of words. Harm kicks off the issues.

I find it odd that anyone would think this story is ridiculous. It actually seems pretty tame against this season's competition in my opinion.

I think its more of the previews flow. I mean, read it. This might be the first issue of Season 8 I can't stand. Granted, I will continue...

OMG! Clem!
This looks completely different from the preview, is this a special web-only version of Harmony Bites? Cause I like it better already...

I think Scott Allie mentioned it about a month ago or something. I thought it was pretty funny, especially the text message part. Such a great satire of all the stupid reality shows out there. And Clem! I was excited about #21, then I saw the preview and wasn't... but this just restored my excitement.

So... I'll lay off Jeanty about his Harmony-likeness... since Moline's Harm looks even more like his Buffy. *shakes head* Must be a hard face to capture. What I don't get is why Clem would claim that tight skin looks great. Didn't he ask Spike how he could stand Buffy, since her skin was so "tight"? But this answers a question I had about why one of the preview pages we got looked so different; it's the first page of the webcomic. Should've recognized Moline's work. EDIT: Of course this means that I didn't actually pay attention to the credits at the bottom of the page in question, the first time around. *face palm*

Harmony looks an awful lot like Fray in almost all of those panels.
It was still an interesting read, though.

"Harmony Bites" was hilarious! Everything Jane Espenson writes is exceptional. It was great to see Clem, he's like the Heidi Montag to Harmony's L.C. Karl Moline's art really worked for me in this special. His Harmony looked great, his Clem was fantastic. I much prefer his Harmony to Georges Jeanty's. I'm surprised his art was so great because the art in ToYL left me cold. The premise for the special, as an episode of Harmony's reality show was a great idea. It worked amazingly well. I'm curious to see if they do similar specials for the following issues, Scott Allie has mentioned a special for #22, I wonder if Steve DeKnight and Karl Moline will do that one, featuring Kennedy and Satsu?

Harmony: "I think people will like that I don't know what I'm doing. It's folksy and identifiable."
That is the classic Harmony line.
I have a feeling this issue is going to feel short, we've already had 7 pages of previews.
At least the "Harmony Bites" special filled out the story some more.
I hope they include these specials in the TPB.
