When I first read the very, very short preview I immediately thought that it was like a misdirection that makes us believe something terrible is happening and then it would turn out to be someone cutting their hair, or someone cutting their hair.
Then I read some of your ideas, and it would be awesome if it was the BIRTH of TWILIGHT - why he wears a mask etc. Stuff like that.
Definately picking this issue up XD

I also thought of Willow and Warren in TLWH too. Pretty creepy preview which definately has my attention. I just hope its too do with Twilight and no way involves Dawn being hacked up. The poor girl will already have scars from Doc in The Gift!

Hey thought you might all want to know that we now have five preview pages for this issue instead of just the two; www.newsarama.com/php/multimedia/album.php?aid=27611Nice extra pages. I checked the name Judas Cradle (the name of the vamp leader) and he's named after a torture device used throughout the Spanish Inquisition... which can only be a bad thing lol. I wonder what "Gepetto" means by "until you're safe?" Intriguing... And the new slayer digs... nice

Wow...that's more like it.
People familiar with the "Fables" comic will probably have thought the same thing I did at the sight of "Geppetto."
And Buffy is a Veronica Mars fan! Win!
And Leah and Rowena are back! WIN!
I'm really looking forward to this issue. Can't wait to find out how Dawnie got in that situation.

The whole Dawn-as-a-doll thing is really weird, and this freaky preview is even weirder. I hope it works.
I'm loving the idle chit chat between Buffy and Xander about Veronica Mars. Also, Buffy is wearing some kind of Wolverine/X-23 glove? That's pretty cool.

Well... looks like a return to grace in the art department for me. Dollmaker (Gepetto is a nice touch, lol) guy is kinda creepy... but I'm suddenly reminded of Sid, the dummy. So maybe he isn't the bad guy. Btw, what's with that nasty looking gauntlet/sleeve thing Buffy's putting on? It's like King Arthur meets Wolverine or something.
EDIT: I see that Paul has noticed the same thing about the gauntlet thing. Anyway, just to let you all know that clickable thumbnails (all 5 preview pages) are now on the first post.

I'm wondering why, if vampires are the good guys now, there's a "vamp army sweeping the countryside?"
Seems a little off-message.

This army could be unknown from the media and people. And even if they were public, it doesn't mean that they would care about what people thought of them.

The preview pages to look really interesting, expecially with Dawn suddenly not being with the crew. Meaning, we are hopefully in for a flashback as to how Dawn suddenly turned into a Doll and how the hell she dissapeared.
I hope Dawn doesnt come out of this scarred up, but maybe she will, considering that would be such a drastic thing to do to her meaningless post Season 5 character.

I wonder if Kennedy saves Dawn. He sensed her fear and wanted to save her. And then the Jo Chen cover happens...

I doubt it. Well, no, maybe.
But I honestly think that this issue may be pretty shocking actually.

Wow I really liked this preview. The art is wonderful! *applauds*
You know, if something unfortunate happens to Dawn it has potential to spice things up a bit. Similar to Xander losing an eye. It would give Buffy something to feel bad about, which is always good. And it would just be...something to shake things up with Dawn. So if she comes out scarred I think that would be kinda cool. Buffy would definitely feel regret for not looking after Dawn more closely if something bad happens to her due to this "Gepetto" looking guy.
This issue seems very "Buffy" to me as well. We have Dawn in trouble, vampire group menacing, and classic Buffy banter. Plus the situation with Dawn looks creepy, kind of like the Gnarl demon with Willow creepy.

And with the vampires advancing wouldn't that be a nice lead-in into the next arc, since Buffy and Co. apparently are in retreat... and that there'll be yaks

I think it means that Buffy and co. "head for the hills" and maybe there are yaks living there. LMFAO.
