This is a depressing thread . Well, I think they will show all 13 episodes this season and probably not get renewed. How do I add myself too it.

Don't kill me people! I would love for Dollhouse to go on for years, but this is FOX we're talking about. This is what I think will happen, not what I want to happen.

Since I will always be an optimist, I think Dollhouse will be picked up for a second season. FOXq really doesn't have a good Friday line-up right now, and I think Terminator and Dollhouse will both perform well enough to continue on during Friday nights. I actually think Dollhouse might premiere with a solid ~9 million viewers.

I'm hoping for consistent ratings of about 6.5 million with a demo in the high 2.0s. FOX has said they wont have high expectations for Friday night. So I think as long as Dollhouse and Terminator have higher demos than the usual Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader and Don't Forget the Lyrics, then they have a good chance of getting renewed.

My group - "The bitter realist" group - is getting slammed but Joe's with me! Just because we're a small group, doesn't mean we'll lose! Although it's true what you said, it's a depressing topic b/c if our group wins...we're certainly still losing.

I just think that they won't do what they did to Joss w Firefly. They can't do it again, it'll be unprofessional, bring in bad press, and just be an overall douche move. So I think they'll let it ride out and then give it the axe. Then again, they gave Tru Calling a second season so I could be wrong w this whole theory.

Dollhosue will start high but like all shows the rating will drop. Whedon fans will tune in looking for another Buffy *sigh* get over it people it will never happen. You all know who you are. There was only ever one Buffy and it's done, we now have the comics. I'm hoping Dollhouse will atleast be give a chance three seasons and I'd be more than happy. Honestly how can they progress the Dolhouse arc any longer than that? I honestly don't think they can, un less Joss was to change the show drastically like what he did with Angel season 5. Anyone else agree?

Hmm, I'm not sure WhedonFan b/c I'm largely unspoiled. He probably has a few seasons mapped out so I'm thinking they can do it. Will they do it? Well, obviously not based on my prediction. I hope they do though b/c if that's the case it means it turned out to be both a kick-ass show, and yet one that people got. It still happens from time to time (Lost).

I'd say yes, which is weird because I'm usually more pessimistic, but with Dollhouse I just can't help but be positive.

FOX has really turned a new leaf though (don't know what that means, but it's said a lot). It's been under new management since the whole cancelling Firefly and countless other shows thing. They have been much more lenient towards shows lately. FOX President Kevin Reilly has said they will air all 13 episodes and hope it will find it's audience... probably not if it bombs completely, which it most likely wont.

I haven't been paying much attention to FOX lately so I wouldn't know, but that gives me hope!

I got like two or three friends into Buffy and they're waiting for Dollhouse...and I've certainly heard more talk from people about Dollhouse than I did about Firefly when it started. I think the ratings will be very high when the first episode airs.

I highly doubt that Dollhouse will get renewed. In fact, I believe it will get canceled before the season finale.

I'm going for optimistic (and as a religious pessimist thats a big deal for me!) but my main reason for praying that the series gets renewed is because we need someone to pick it up in the UK!!

I really hope Fox gives it a chance...you tend to find that a new series takes a season, sometimes two to really find its feet and as long as the fans stay loyal for that it should all be cool!
