(images from GettyImages) (images taken by our own willo3times) E! Online's Kristin Blogs About the Reunion!TV Guide's Mike Ausiello Reports on the ReunionStrangely Literal's Podcast, and ThoughtsThe Futon Critic's Reunion ReviewEverything we know will be added to this post by me, as the information becomes available that is. Points provided from member dulce_serenidad (give them some good Karma!): - Eliza Dushku and Alyson Hannigan were not present - Nicolas Brendon's A.D.D was apparently, apparent. But he was pleasant nonetheless
- They discussed "pretty standard stuff" such as: The Body, Tara's death, Hush, Willow & Tara's relationship
- The moderator mentioned the Buffy/Satsu tryst from the latest issue of Season 8, and Sarah said that she'd "found out 5 minutes ago", and the first thing she thought of was Willow! Then filled in James Marsters about the new development in Buffy's love life.
- James asked if he was in the comics
- Oz has been confirmed to return in Season 8, possibly to further his characters development in an arc
- Sarah said she was proud "Smashed" made it to the top of Entertainment Weekly's list of sex scenes.
- Discussing the episode "The Body", Joss mentioned that he used to call Sarah Michelle Gellar "Jimmy", unbeknownst to her. Nicolas Brendon thought the nickname came from her bone structure...
- James didn't talk as much as Sarah, Joss and Seth Green, but there was one stand out moment at the end when they were talking about their projects and James said that he'd just gotten back from Dragonball. Someone shouted out "Smallville!" and someone else (myself) yelled out "Torchwood" and then finally someone yelled out that they were going to his concert and he responded "Oh MUSIC!!!" and cheered for the fact, and started talking about how he finally has some good musicians!
- David Boreanaz did not make a commentary video, and was not present
- Joss claimed that a film would be green-lit if "the stars aligned". Seth Green exclaimed "That question will get you shot!"
- Seth Green was awesome
- Charisma Carpenter, Seth Green and Amber Benson joked about making a line of exercise videos that were a mix of Tae-Bo, strip aerobics and kick-boxing, "you know a sort of sexy violence thing?"
- Emma Caulfield discussed her monologue from "The Body". She said that a couple of days ago she was asked about that scene, specifically what she was thinking at the time she was filming it. She replied that she was really thinking that she was "hungry and she had to go pee...and that every one was hungry and Joss was like "More tears, no less tears, now only one!" and she finally exclaimed: "What? Why I don't understand?!" (exactly as Anya said it) and Joss said "That's it!"
- Michelle Trachtenberg talked about the fact that Joss actually wrote dialogue for her scene in "The Body" where she finds out about Joyce.
- And that she was the only one not in the special features of the dvd, because she was bawling her eyes out because she had to sing on the set of "Once More, With Feeling" resulting in psychosomatic tonsillitis!
- When asked what they missed most about working on the show, Joss said that he missed the writer's room, Seth said he missed David Boreanaz "taking a poop in his trailer before he even got in it in the morning", Emma said that she missed scrabble, and that sort of digressed into a whole scrabble conversation
- Joss had just returned from shooting a piece with Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day, called Dr. Horrible
- Tom Lenk was in the audienceCheck this out! Seth and Sarah discuss "the movie" possibility with the TV Guide Channel!

From Whedonesque, (TamaraC):
Marti did an introduction. She is adorable. Then they played OMWF. After the guests were introduced one at a time. David, Amber, Seth, Charisma, Michelle, Marti, James, Nick, Sarah, Joss.
No reason was given for Alyson and Eliza not showing.
I was kind of engrossed and completely forgot to take notes. I am so sorry.
Roush obviously loves the show and loves the cast, but he had absolutely no control over the panel as moderator. IMO, the panel was way too large. Annoyingly so.
I would have much rather it been two hours with Joss and Sarah and I am not a SMG fan. It was impossible to give everyone the time they should have had and Nick's ADD was very apparent.
Seth had several brilliant one liners but Charisma and Amber seemed to get shorted on time and attention because they weren't hammy and pushy.
Joss called Sarah Jimmy Stewart. Very amusing. He gave her credit for inspiring him to make the first scene in The Body sans music. She also got high praise from David for her work ethic and ability to take in every note and every direction and execute flawlessly.
The Jimmy Stewart thing is a reference to how she can show pain like he did. He said that he used to call her that. It was news to her.
She just found out about the events in Buffy Season 8 #12 five minutes before the panel. Amber talked about how important and wonderful it was to get to play her role and how Willow/Tara were portrayed. Some fan asked her about her not appearing in season 7. It was very accusatory. She rambled around and said it just didn't work out but the fact that they got to tell the Willow/Tara story was the important part to remember.
I really wish they wouldn't allow fans to ask questions at these things. The questions are embarrassing for the audience, uncomfortable for the crowd, or really not questions. The last question of the night was some random chick stating that she didn't have a question but rambled on for three minutes about how much she loved the show. Get.A.Blog. Total waste of an opportunity and the audience's (and panel's) time.
On a more positive note, Sarah talked about how it is so much more important that BtVS has the reputation and fans that it does and than having tons of awards. She felt at the time that the viewer awards meant a lot more anyway. She was (to me) surprisingly gushy and positive and loving in the way she talked about the show. She definitely changed my assumptions about her. I was very impressed.
James talked eloquently about how hard and terrifying OMWF was. My memory sucks. Michelle said that she developed psychosomatic laryngitis because she was so scared.
Charisma was asked whether she thought it was a good move for her to go to Angel. She told the story of Joss asking her to go for a walk with him. Others cringed in sympathy. Seth said that some never come back from that walk. First off, Joss said she was fired. Obviously form a story Marti told, this is Joss' little evil joke that he plays on lots of folk. I laughed.
Charisma's first question to Joss once he pitched her going to Angel was "what if it doesn't go?" and Joss said she would always have a safety net on Buffy. David said that there would have been no Angel without Charisma. She was needed for balance. He was all heartfelt about it and sweet. It was a nice moment.
All eleven of them answered a question from a fan on what their favorite movie is and what is on their iPod. Once again, Get.A.Blog. The answers took forever and the panel totally lost focus and really, it just wasn't that interesting. David's favorite movie? Tie between Serenity and Godfather. I couldn't tell if his tongue was firmly planted in his cheek or not. He also said that he wasn't working and would follow Joss anywhere. Marti also said that if Joss told her that he was building a rocket and they were all going to Mars she would say, "Ok, when do we leave."

"Seth said he missed David Boreanaz "taking a poop in his trailer before he even got in it in the morning" That made my year right there.

sorry bout the double post but...."Michelle Trachtenberg talked about the fact that Joss actually wrote dialogue for her scene in "The Body" where she finds out about Joyce. And that she was the only one not in the special features of the dvd because she was bawling her eyes out because she had to sing, and she got psychosomatic tonsillitis when she first heard she had to sing.."
she was talking about the bawling her eyes out on the set of omwf... not the body.... though she did make the crew very puffy on that shoot and joss said he was "sorry for making her weep for a day and a half" when they were shooting the body... you know because she had to be distraught... not because he made her cry. If that makes sense O.o

Another excerpt from Whedonesque's very long topic, again by thier member TamaraC: Asked about a Buffy Musical on Broadway, Joss didn't rule it out. Asked if they would participate most of the panel indicated that they would. Sarah was not among them. She was more like, "No way", but laughingly.
Asked about a Buffy movie, Joss also did not rule that out. He said that if he had the chance to work with the cast again that he would without question throw the comic book stuff out the window if there was a continuity or canon issue. I'm paraphrasing here. See above about being an idiot and not taking notes. Both things sounded like nice pipe dreams and/or musings without any substance around them whatsoever, just to be clear.
Marti said she was going to be directing a movie but didn't mention any of the whats or whos. Anyone know anything? Joss never mentioned Dollhouse or Firefly which I was actually pleased about. This was a Buffy panel and I am very glad that they were focused enough to stay in that realm.

Wouldn't that just be the biggest slap on the face ever to Buffy fans? If a movie's made, I want it to work around or with the comic continuity.

Sounds like a nice reunion. Although it's disappointing Alyson and Eliza were no shows. I really hope they release a dvd! I'm with the poster from whedonesque, people asking stupid questions is just a waste of time, fans or not, if they want to babble they should get a blog. It would have been awkward for Amber to answer the "why did you not come back for Conversations with Dead People?" it's not nice to ask confrontational questions like that. I'm curious about what kind of movie Marti is writing, I hope it is a success for her, she is very underrated. Sarah seems gracious, it's nice she's moved past the distancing herself from Buffy period. I want to hear some more about Emma, Charisma and Amber.

Just a side-note...is it me or is everyone looking VERY HOT these days? Sarah looks very Season 4-esque to me in these photos. Michelle has grown into a beauty, and Nick looks hot too!! Also, there are a couple more lengthy reviews of the panel on Whedonesque again. Instead of doing the whole copy/paste thing, just click the link and scroll to the bottom. Pretty much the same as the rest, but it's still a fun read. Click and Scroll to the bottom

It sounds like it was a good reunion. I REALLY hope they release a DVD of it I really do. And as much as I am loving season 8, I think if they did a movie, it would be necessary to scrap the season 8 comics as canon. What was Sarah's reaction/response to the movie idea, anybody know?

Looks (or should that be looked) awesome! And I would agree, the ladies are looking goooooood Esp SMG, ye gads! Reading the description it sounds ace, but I think thats one of the things that put me off going to conventions and the like, is overly zealous fans asking dumb geeky questions, leading to mass embarrassment. Oh well, still would kill to have been there. And Tom Lenk was in the auduience? lol, did he say anything, should have got him up on stage! Oh, and nice hat Emma
