Definitely belong in this club. In which Buffy or Angel season did you like Spike the best? Season 2. What's your favourite Spike-centric episode or comic issue? Something Blue. It makes me laugh so hard. I also love Becoming Part 2, when Spike temporarily teams up with Buffy, and then they try to convince her mother that they're in a rock band. I got the sense that there would definitely be more Buffy/Spike moments down the road. What's your favourite Spike-centric 'ship? I was always a Sprusilla kind of gal, even though I love Spuffy too. But really, it's too hard to choose! As with any character coupling, they all have their special moments. Spike gets to be protector and big brother to Dawn, which is a nice side to see. Oh, and what about Spike and Harmony? I never liked Harmony, but even so, it pained me to watch her get her heart broken. "I don't know why I let you be so mean to me." "Love hurts, baby" I agree about Sparmony. As much as I truly believe Spuffy belong together, Harmony and Spike were pretty hot!

I agree about Sparmony. As much as I truly believe Spuffy belong together, Harmony and Spike were pretty hot! Oh my god, they were! It was like Spike's last hurrah before joining the good fight. Also, I know Harmony was really annoying sometimes, but more I think about their relationship, the more I feel bad for Harmony, which I never thought would happen. Hmm. I wonder if there's a Sparmony thread? There should be, no?

1)In which Buffy or Angel season did you like Spike the best?
Season7 Buffy and Season5 Angel.
2)What's your favourite Spike-centric episode or comic issue?
Destiny
3)What's your favourite Spike-centric 'ship?
Spike/Buffy
4)Who do you think are the most influential people in Spike's life?
Drusilla - dark. Buffy - Light. But the most important component was always Spike/William. He made himself the second worst vampire on record by doing his own brand of evil, which is why i don't consider Angel/us that influential. He thaught him some stuff and that's that, Penn was the one that made himself into a second Angelus. Spike always rejected this, making himself the infamous Slayer of slayers. Same goes for the light, it's not so much that Buffy was trying to change him as much as Spike changed himself for the love he had for Buffy. He became a man for her, prior to season7 Buffy hadn't helped him that much into changing.
4)What would you change about his current arc in Angel: After the Fall and Spike: After the Fall?
A lot, i always feel that Spike is being held back at IDW. Spike imo belongs with Buffy and the scoobies. Neither fangang nor Angel intrest me. I borrowed the graphic novels from a friend and wasn't impressed in the least with Spike's arc, if you can call it that.

I always believe that Spike was better off with Angel and the Fang Gang, cuz at least with them, Spike was accepted and trusted pretty much by everyone straight away...or at least once he became corporeal (though it did take Angel a while). On Buffy, nobody trusted or accepted him, except for Buffy, but that was only once he got his soul. Everyone else rejected Spike and 'kicked him around'. On Angel, he was a part of the team

On Angel, he was a part of the team nah, i don't agree with that. Could the scoobies have treated Spike better? Sure. Could Spike have treated the scoobies better? Sure. No matter what way you look at it, there isn't only one person to blame. Spike did some pretty nasty stuff before he became part of the team. Which is understandable, you don't just switch from a 120y of being evil. But in the end he did get there and the scoobies were accepting him in season7. I doubt Angel would have let his gang trust Spike if he had still been soulles, you can see his treatment of Harmony. He gives her a job but in the end simply tells her that he knew she would do what she did because of her lack of soul. With the fangang it was different, they didn't have any history with him outside of Angel. They only got Spike the champion. And outside of his short friendship with Fred, Spike was one of the gang, but the fanggang were never as close as the scoobies were. It was partly a job for them, they didn't come together in friendship first like the scoobies and Spike became a part of that in the last season(except with Giles). And yeah, i do think 2 vampires with a soul is too much for one city, although one earned his soul. People would always compare the two and Spike wouldn't get his due. On Buffy he had his own place, the gang's good vampire that they in the end got along much better with then Angel ever did. Plus his relationship with everyone of them. Spike/Xander, Spike/Willow,Spike/Dawn,Spike/Giles(rocky relationship) and the most important one Spike/Buffy.

Buffy was the only one who got along with him then. Dawn wasn't talking to him, Willow was dealing with her own stuff and as for Xander, well, he hates Spike completely, so nuff said there. In season 5, he got along with Angel. Sure, they bickered, but deep down, they knew they could count on each other. I mean, they even bond in 'The Girl in Question' and then there's After the Fall, mainly the last issue. I just see it as that Spike was better accepted on Angel than on Buffy

I just see it as that Spike was better accepted on Angel than on Buffy Not true, Willow was dealing with her own stuff but she supported and trusted Buffy on dealing with Spike. They also worked together in Get it done to bring Buffy back. I suggest you check season7 out again because nowhere did Xander appear to hate Spike completely. Yes he was hesitant to work with him again, but by the second half of the season they had an easygoing relationship. All in all Spike saved Xander several times and Xander had shown support when he chained Spike in the basement or when Spike was suffering from the trigger Xander was the one that figured it out. They also worked a lot together, like in Him. Angel at first was unwilling to accept champion Spike, because that was what he already was, Angel and the fanggang benefited from an already evolved Spike. They had no reason to distrust Spike, outside of Angel none of them had a bad history with him, and Angel himself can't throw stones cus he was even more disgusting without his soul. I disagree, Spike truelly changed on Buffy with her and the scoobies, they are the only ones that can truelly appreciate how much he's changed.

Okay, so yeah, Spike truely changed on Buffy, but he was accepted much quicker on Angel. On Buffy, it took him nearly four seasons to get accepted, soul or no soul. He had the chip and may still be evil, but he fought alongside the scoobies, however, neither of them could really trust him, with the exception of Dawn and possibly Willow and Buffy Then again, I guess each is to their own opinion. I've always seen that Spike was better/quickly accepted on Angel than he was on Buffy, regardless of soul

I've always seen that Spike was better/quickly accepted on Angel than he was on Buffy, regardless of soul They accepted him much quicker on Angel simply because there was nothing wrong with him, he was hero and a vampire with a soul like their boss. The fanggang were always more a work related gang, they came together to fight evil. Where as the scoobies came together in friendship and Spike was being accepted in that gang. Without a soul they could have never started to trust him, and it's not like Spike was trying his best for 4years in being accepted. And the fanggang/Angel would have never accepted Spike if he didn't have a soul. For Angel it was easy, like he demonstrated with Harmony, no soul=no trust. Again disagree but who cares, you got your opinion, i got mine.

This is semi-related, but I am a knitter and today I discovered this person on Etsy who sells BtVS inspired YARN. It's kind of too pricey for me (at $21), but I'm in love with the "Spike" yarn she has for sale. This is what it looks like: Description: Probably one of the most popular characters (and yarn), Spike features black leather, platinum hair and a bit of a thirst for blood in his colorway. Very bad, but awfully beautiful.I love that last part. LOL, so accurate! If anyone's interested this is a link to her shop: www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5915916

Spike yarn. lol. Has a ring to it. =p
I love Spike. Always have, Always will be. He is the most amusing character in the Buffyverse IMO. The things he says...He just cracks me up. Not only is he hilarious but he's different than the other vampires in the buffyverse. Instead of being cursed with a soul like Angel, He went on a quest to get his. He wanted it. Even if it was for Buffy, He still had motivation.
In Season 7 IMO Spike is not only a hero, But a champion. He may started out as a big bad..But in the end of Buffy, He was the one who saved them all. I'd say he came a long way. =]

I <3 Spike. He is a truly wonderful, complex character who underwent some remarkable character development throughout Buffy and Angel. The interesting thing about Spike is that even at his worst, there was always something about him, something that hinted at something more. Even as an evil, soulless creature, Spike was never 100% evil. Despite his lack of soul, he was still very much capable of love and doing what's right. His character has always been so fascinating because, like all Joss characters, he has so many layers to him. Never one note, or one dimension, but always something more lingering beneath the surface. I may not have always liked his relationship with Buffy, but I have always found Spike's character intriguing and he was always a joy to watch. He also has so many sayings I love, "out for a walk bitch," being among them. I also love, "I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it." and I love what he says to Buffy in "Touched." gets me every time. I'm sure there are many others but they are slipping my mind right now. More to come later. In which Buffy or Angel season did you like Spike the best?I enjoyed Spike in all seasons of Buffy and loved him in S5 of Angel. What's your favourite Spike-centric episode or comic issue?Fool for Love, Beneath You, Lies my Parents Told me, School Hard, Lover's Walk... What's your favourite Spike-centric 'ship?Spuffy, post S6 Who do you think are the most influential people in Spike's life?Definitely Buffy. Also, his mom, Dru, Angel(us), Cecily (b/c if it hadn't been for her rejection he might have never got bitten by Dru), and I would say that Joyce also influenced Spike because she helped to feel the void left by his own mother. What would you change about his current arc in Angel: After the Fall and Spike: After the Fall?
Nothing.

I love Spike. So much. He's my favorite character of all time.
In which Buffy or Angel season did you like Spike the best? I'm not sure. He's cool in all his Buffy seasons, but I think I like him in Buffy S5 the best.
What's your favorite Spike-centric episode or comic issue? That's a hard one, mostly because I haven't seen the later seasons in forever. I think its a tie between Fool for Love and Lies My Parents Told Me.
What's your favourite Spike-centric 'ship? Spuffy. Definitely. I loved Sprusilla, but there's just no contest.
Who do you think are the most influential people in Spike's life? I think Spike is most susceptible to feminine influences. His mother made a huge impact on his life, and as LMPTM made apparent, the events after he turned his mother left some deep scars on his psyche. Angel may have been Spike's yoda, but Spike didn't model his behavior or killing style after Angelus'. Instead, Spike followed Drusilla around with puppy-like devotion, and really just made himself into the man she wanted him to be. Once Drusilla left him and Spike returned to Sunnydale where he got the chip, his attention fixed on Buffy. Buffy's influence made him want to be a good person, fighting the good fight, getting a soul...
What would you change about his current arc in Angel: After the Fall and Spike: After the Fall? I did not actually read those comics yet..
