Poor Cordy  Firstly, she didn't sleep with Connor, it wasn't her, so it'd be like hating Xander for trying to kill Willow in 'The Pack' when he was possessed by the Hyena, it's not logical and unfair to the character. It'd also be like hating Buffy in 'Halloween' for screaming at Willow, when she was turned into the 17th centaury girl, or hating Larry for nearly raping Buffy after being turned into the murderous pirate. Or hating Spike for his actions when under control of the First's trigger in 'Sleeper.' These people had no control over their actions, so why hate them for it?  Cordy could be really mean in Btvs s1-s3 there's no doubting that, but it still escapes me why people can love Angel or Spike even though they have brutally murdered people, but hate Cordy for being a snobby bitch? I mean they hardly compare right? And even she admits in Ats s3 that she was, and I quote, "the ditziest bitch in Sunnydale" so she's both acknowledged her faults, made up for them, and surpassed that persona of herself. She wasn't always that bad either, Ats wasn't the first time she showed genuine human feelings. We saw that she could be a compassionate, down to earth, sympathetic person. Firstly when she thanks all the Scoobies for saving her life in 'Out of Mind, Out of Sight,' secondly when she genuinely cares enough to give Buffy some advice about not being so mean to her friends in 'When She Was Bad' because if she kept it up, she'd loose them to. Again in 'Helpless' when she sees Buffy's terribly upset, and without snark or protest simply says "of course" to giving her a lift home, or when she sympathises and connects with Buffy in 'Homecoming.'I really love her character. I thought she became a tad too saintly towards the end of season three, but that's no reason to hate her character but more reason to love her really. I blame the writers for being too quick to suddenly give her this abundance of growth in such a short period of time. She maintains the right level of snark and caring before she goes on holiday, but when she returns she's like an entirley different person- which is odd. But again they strike the perfect balance for her in 'You're Welcome' and I'll admit I wept like a manly man in her incredibly bitter-sweet gut wrenching finale moment.. "Oh and you're welcome"- what a perfect finale line to give a woman, given all she's done for the shows, the fans and for the characters. .... And breathe. |

i think the worst person on buffy is buffy after the first epsidoe of season two (when she was bad) her charecter was ruined she became bland

in that episode she was a bitch all te episodes before that she was still kinda bitch preppy outspoken buffy after that episode all she did that cold be taen as bitchy was pun and that just got really annoying

Just an aside: I still love that episode if only for when Cordy says "My teeth are so big!" Well, what about Cordelia's bangs in Waiting in the Wings? Those things were shorter than Gary Coleman. (Well, I guess both Buffy and Cordy tie when it comes to extremely short bangs) Thats the only thing I "disliked" in that episode. |

I thought this wasn't a realy "Hate Cordy" club, and that Kimtaro only made it as a joke about Willow and Xanders club, and we all know they didn't really hate Cordy in the end. Xander even loved her, and her and willow had a mutual respecty thing happening.
Cordy was awesome, but it's okay not to like her. Just like some people don't like Buffy.
This isn't a serious "Hate cordy" thread is it?

i didn't like her that much on Buffy, but seasons 1-3, 5 she was awesome... i don't count season 4 cordelia as cordelia since it was technically Jasmine.

Cordy was pretty cool on Buffy and she just grew so much on Angel...however, I think season 4 is the only season where I can dislike Cordy, even though I know it's not her. But that said, she's an awesome character <333

I dug Cordy! Mostly after she joined AtS, and especially after she told off that crazy mom ghost that was haunting her apartment. ("The bitch is back.")
But yeah, the whole Connor & Cordy/Jasmine thing gave me the willies.
