The shows go on whether it be in any of the above formats. What do you believe to have been the most successful format?

I would say the novels, but right now I have to go with the comics. Season 8 will be huge, Scott Allie has said that the pre-order thingies for #1 are already over 80,000 and it's not even out yet, that number is huge for a non-DC or Marvel comic. Also they are going to be written by Joss and other big comic writers and Buffyverse writers which I think will get more people to get it.
The novels are great, but they seem to be slowing down a bit, unfortuantly.

I had to vote comics as I am a Graphic Novel fan because I love looking at the art work. I cant wait for Season 8 to come out. I have them on pre-order and when the GN comes out I will probably get that too.

I'd have to say comics as the Season 8 comics look very promising. Also the art from the comics, looks great.

I think the comics have been particularly successful recently. The Angel comics from IDW have been excellent and it is already looking like Season 8 is going to be a smash.

The comic seems to be the best way to continue the legacy as it is in keeping with the larger than life elements of the show and it is visual. I've read quite a few of the buffy/angel fiction and they range from being just awful to alright. it is hard for the fiction writers to get the right 'voice' for the characters and sometimes they don't seem to really understand the tensions and atmosphere of when they set it - i suppose what i'm trying to get at is that most of them read as if the characters are still at high school even if they are set post season 3. just my opinion.

I finished reading The Remaining Sunlight and it wasn't very appealing. The art was iffy, and overall, it was a little confusing.
