So... is it just me, or does the image of Fray on the cover of #8 remind you of Summer Glau? Who would actually make an awesome life-action Fray, IMO.

But I feel that an actress that plays Fray needs to have a harder, sharper edge. Even though Summer Glau plays an awesome Terminator and a deadly government killing-weapon-person in Firefly, she's still really delicate, adorable, and sweet-looking. Oh my God is she adorable.

For me, Summer Glau is the ideal Fray.

Wow, I can totally see Summer Glau as Fray. Great call!
Blue contacts, though, right?

And some purple hair dye for the tips. And the green braid (I think there was a green braid).
EDIT: I checked... she had the green braid earlier on in the series, but lost it later on.

Let's not start the rumor mill cranking again. We've had quite a few unfortunate accidents with that recently (i.e. the speculation of the possibility of a Buffy movie given the success of Twilight, the fake Illyria miniseries). So I'll state very clearly here, NO, there is no scent of a Fray movie. I just remarked that the image of Mel on the cover of #8 looked a little like Summer (from an angle).

I have to admit, we Buffy fans can be a bit wohoo but I don't think we will fool ourselves to believe that there will be a Fray movie just because some users noticed that Summer Glau would be a good Fray. *erasing ecstatic blog entry *

Despite the smelly comment, I doubt anyone truly thought there would be a Fray movie based on a "she looks like Fray" comment, Wexi. Just dreamin' big.
Anyway, I'd like Joss to work on new stuff. I'd rather, if the movie ever did happen, for someone else to write and direct. Joss already did the story, and I'd rather see him focus on either continuing the series or something else entirely.

hmmm, although Glau is a goddess I really dont see her as portraying Fray at all. At least not the fray i always imagine when I read the comics.
Definately someone with a harsher edge to them.
Plus her movements are just too precise and atheletic for Fray...dont get me wrong, fray is mobile etc the way she flings between 'cars' etc but theres a slight last minute clunkyness to it in my eyes in that she just throws herself into it without thinking out what shes doing...not the ballet routine kinda thing we get with River for example.
