Would love a Groo one shoot comic and I did love that sword. If Groo does not live on in any of the future comics then that sword has too, give it to Angel or Connor...someone! How about a one shot just for the sword it could be like that episode of The Simpsons when the 'green rod' gets all the glory of saving Homer and the astronauts in space. lol

Show IDW that you want to do this guys. If you show that you'd register there to support this, then that shows that you'd definitely buy it.

Maybe a prequel. I'd like to see his life as a Romance novel model pre-ATF.

I don't think this is happening. I was the guy most excited about it at IDW, and I think my future with the Whedonverse lies solely in the SPIKE series. Though Groo is in issues 26 and 27 (as is the sword), and will pop up in SPIKE. Maybe Bill is using him in ANGEL too, not sure.

Will you and Willingham converse at all when using the characters to make sure you are not contadicting the other? Like if Angel appears in the Spike monthly, will it be able to be referenced in the Angel or vice-versa. Basically put - are the two comics in the same universe or will it be like in the later seasons of Buffy and Angel where things seemed to be happening completely apart.( Not one line of - OMG did you hear about the rain of fire in LA?

I would love to see this happen! I wasn't a big fan of Groo on the show but once he showed up in "AtF" I fell in love with his character. Of course that might have just been the way Brian wrote him but he was still pretty damn cool.
Maybe just a one-shot or even a two issue mini-series that would trace his time from the last time we saw him on the show to when everything went to Hell.
