Great series, and I think it definitely has time to get better. Dean is one of my favorite television characters in a while, and the Ghostfacers are just hilarious - Whedon would be proud.
I can't agree with their take on vampires and witches however. It's almost insulting actually, but it seems that the overall storyline is making up for it.

Like I said, Supernatural is great entertainment, but the whole witches sell their souls to the devil/demons thing and a coven consciously using magic for personal gain in "Malleus Maleficarum", wasn't exactly my cup of tea. A bit of a pinch on the arm, taking into consideration that I'm wiccan. My reaction was pretty much like Willow's in "All the Way" about people dressed as witches with pointy hats and mole. Well, until she saw the little girl anyways. Basically, I ranted for a while, then got over it. Still, I'd really like to see a more progressive and real depiction of witches and wiccans in the media. The closest anyone's gotten, IMO, would be Tara. As for the vampires, they're just very badly done in Supernatural, and it goes against a lot of things that have been established in vampire mythology while oddly following the trite concept of the vampire as a disease. Awesome seeing Amber Benson though, definitely.

Did they call themselves wiccans or witches?
I really wish new supernatural episodes would air in Sweden, then i could see for myself.

Did they call themselves wiccans or witches? They were a "coven" of witches. No distinction is made between witches and wiccans. Brief summary... And as much as I love Dean's character, there's a scene in the episode wherein he openly expresses his hatred towards witches, and still no distinction is made.

Just keep in mind that witchcraft in supernatural has more to do with Satanism than wicca ( and the use of word witch has many meanings. It was first used to describe village healers and wise-women. later those accused of making deals with the devil - so that the old ways would be marked, by Christians as evil, and now-a-days Wiccan females, and other neo-pagans, use it.), and Supernatural has that Christianity theme.

Well, the witches that Dean are talking about are probably not real wiccans. More evil-wanna-misuse-the-power-of-the-universe than the love-the-earth-and-all-life-or-atleast-is-respectful-kind.
Of course, if someone says "I hate the drunk evil sweds" I would probably be offended, although I realized that that person most likely had only meet a certain kind of sweds.
Atleast the witches didn't call themselves wiccan, which Willow does in Buffy. I've read a few comments online from wiccans who dislike that they're associated with the kind of dark magic Willow uses. But then again, I think Willow just uses that word because it's a very general word.

I wouldn't say upset, but certainly disappointed. I do really enjoy the series, and would like it even more if the whole concept of demons and witches was played out more progressively, let's say. Withcraft itself, and no, I'm not talking about Wicca, is also misrepresented in the series.
You see? Some Wiccans and witches will openly express their love for a series like Charmed, while making note of the mostly fictional aspects of it, while others will come down on the series entirely for misrepresenting Wicca/witchcraft as this trendy little package for good looking women.
As for Willow, I think it's brilliantly executed how she called herself a wiccan, and still does, while openly rejecting the "blah, blah, Gaia, blah, blah, moon" reality of Wicca. Which is very Whedon-esque socioreligious satire at its best.
And like I mentioned before, though Tara isn't a perfect depiction of someone who follows the wiccan path, she is the most accurate depiction in television, IMO, of a witch who does seem to still follow the tenants of Wicca to a particular extent.

I've seen promo pics for season 4 and it looks great. Can't wait. It's nice to have another supernatural-demon-fighting show on air... ( R.I.P. Buffy, Angel, Hex..)

The storylines are great, and Sam and Dean are both HOT as HELL! same with me. at first I thought it was silly and never tuned in. only now did I realize "woah...that show is still on, there must be something good about it lol" now I'm netflixing like a mo fo to get caught up

I've never seen this show. What's it about? Two brothers, Sam and Dean, travel around America and investigate supernatural phenomena. Their father has also a Hunter, their mom is dead, and she had a little-known past. Its great for those who love demon-fighting shows... well there is not much actual demon-fighting because they don't have super strength and all ( Sam has some unexplored supernatural powers that I think are going to be seen in season 4 ), but they do get the job done

What did everyone think of the season finale? I didn't think they'd actually go through with it, but what I've heard of season four it should be interesting. Hopefully they incorporate more drama instead of the monster of the week formula interspersed with drama to remind the viewer time is passing in Winchester-land.

Well I think season 3 finale set a great atmosphere for season 4. I expect more brother drama and more intense demon war. Can't wait to see season 4, think Dean will ever say:" Hey I went to Hell for you now lend me 100 bucks!"?

The season premiere was pretty awesome. Quite a few twists in this episode (Sam using his powers, Dean being raised out of Hell by an angel). Can't wait to see what this season has in store.
The premiere had very good ratings as well, the most viewers since the season 2 premiere..
