There is a big difference between having careers in Hollywood, and having a public profile. All the Buffy stars are working at one thing for another, but David, Aly, Seth, and sometimes Sarah are the only ones who's careers are really out there in the public consciences. Michelle does some stuff here and there, but nothing overly big. Gossip Girl will definitely change that though. Same with James really, apart from guest spots on other popular shows. Overall I think Sarah made some poor choices in the roles she took post Buffy in terms of keeping her public profile current. But, I think she was at a point in her life where she didn't 'need' the money and wanted to take roles for the quality of roles. Unfortunately, she didn't balance public profile with acting for the sake of the craft, and is slowly falling into that 'she hasn't done anything big/good since Buffy' territory. If Sarah has said she's looking at TV scripts, it's pretty safe to say she wants to boost her public profile again and a Buffy movie would be perfect for that. Aly is the tricky one, because even though she has said she would do it if Joss did it, her along with David and Seth have the most active schedules they would need to shoot around and that could cause problems. I think there is a good chance, if they do a movie her role wouldn't be a large as it was on the show. Unless they shoot it in the months she has off each year from How I Met Your Mother. Which is the entire summer right? Three months to shoot a film should be enough, many television actors do that.

They only need to shoot the scenes Willow would be in, they do not need to shoot the entire movie over the summer. A lot of television stars do movies on their time off, thought most aren't successful they plan around the stars who have a job on television. It wouldn't be that hard at all. I would love to see a movie, of course. But where they left Buffy...well, that will ne kind of hard. How would they deal with all of the new Slayers in an hour or two movie? How would they touch base with every character and still have enough time for Buffy and the action scenes? I would love it if they did a Lor dof the rings kind of thing and plan a storyline around three whole movies and tell us what happened with Angel and crew, tell us where Buffy is now and at the end find out who Buffy choses(Angel/Spike). That would ultimately make me happy :-)

I'm not sure they'd ever say directly who Buffy chooses. I really don't...they have to keep it open-ended to give an air of speculation and anonymity to the show.

I really think Buffy's romantic storylines with both of those guys is essentially over. If she ends up "with" anyone, it'll be someone she's never dated before, and possibly somebody we *still* haven't met.

Doesn't really change anything for me. I really don't think you can look at their relationship closely and say that Buffy, knowing *everything* about his story since leaving Sunnydale, would still just glow with delight at the thought of him. And that's even without knowing that he became persona non grata by joining W&H.

Now it just seems like a big metaphor for whether or not Buffy is ready/willing to bear Angel's children.

LOL. Don't forget that Angel is a human in the hell dimension, only b/c that's how WR&H deem it. If/when L.A. is returned to its former glory (and it most likely is just an alternate dimension thing), then Angel will no longer be human.
Plus, it would be harder to make David look like he was a never-aging person, still that physically 25 year-old actually 200+ year-old vampire. So, I doubt they'd put him in there. James still looks young, like he always did on Buffy but that's because he was in his 30s when he was on the show, so there's not much difference. David...big difference...but I doubt they'd include either one of them in a movie, since that would be one added weight that the writers would have to tackle in a two-hour setting.

I, personally, think that a Buffy movie COULD happen. And if it does...it would be awesome if it followed Season Eight, instead of throwing it out. There could be a number of movies. Each movie focusing on each arc of Season Eight, or whatever.

It wouldnt be able to take place after series 8, otherwise people who are not us wouldnt know there is a series 8 and might think this is taking place after series 7,
It would properlly be series 8 as joss has said " And clearly, from the comic, it's a story that I can't let go of. I think it would be really cool." So if it was to be a film it might be the comics transformed ? I personally think there should be a new TV series and not Film. To much would have to be crammed into the film and would properlly end up making people confused.

I think the fate of the X Files movie would be more telling than the Sex in the City moive. Isn't there going to be a Land of the Lost movie this summer too? That makes 3 tv franchise movies in one summer! Lets hope they take off becasue 3 hit movies based on tv shows are sure to get the studios excited!

It would be good to see a Buffy movie pick up from where the series left off, leading into Season 8. It could show how the Scoobies got to Scotland and set up base there, how Giles and Faith left the group, why Willow and Kennedy were in Brazil, etc. There are so many unanswered qustions that could be answered in this movie...

I like Sarah's movies... the return was great. She played that character well.
I think a Buffy movie could be possible but i don't think just yet. Maybe in a year or two.
I think a Fray movie is more possible right now.

I don't think a Fray movie is likely at all. There's zero market interest. Nobody knows or cares about who Fray is. They'd think it was a Buffy ripoff. I don't think thats the whole case, for a start, if they made a Fray movie then they would market the hell out of the fact its set in the buffyverse X number of years in the future, and those kinda ventures, when marketed properly can attract new audiences as well as the die hard buffy fans, Im not saying that I think they will make one, but if they did, they wouldnt be stupid enough to just put it out there without explicit links to buffy

I think it would make sense to do a Fray movie, too, and yeah, they would definitely market it as part of the Buffyverse. It would follow in line with Joss's 'Serenity' movie and not put people off outside the Buffy fandom b/c there was already a failed movie.
Though...if they did an actual Buffy movie...I think it would be funny to have Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry do hidden cameos. That would be hilarious.

How could they market it as being part of the Buffyverse though? NOBODY from Buffy OR Angel is in it. It's about a Vampire Slayer in the future created by Joss Whedon?
