Did anyone else feel oddly sorry for him at the end of that episode? Even though the scene is all about Willow (Warren wasn't really ever there) I always found it resonated really well. I think that's probably why I object to his reappearance in the comic book. TKiM gave him a sense of closure.

Hard to sympathize with him since it's not really Warren. I do feel terrible for Willow in that scene though, and the cut from a sobbing Alyson Hannigan to a sobbing Adam Busch (with no tears for some reason) is brutal and rips my heart out every time.

And even when willow had him tied up he still didn't care that he shot Tara or how he killed Katrina Warren was evil he never felt bad about what he done he deserved no sympathy thats not warren in that scene the feeling bad thing most of that was willow now her i felt sorry for not him

Um...what happened in that episode that made you feel sorry for WARREN? I don't know how anyone could feel sorry for Warren. He was a womanizing, girlfriend beating murderer. What he said.

I liked Warren, personally. Not as a person of course; but as a character. I find it hard to hate him because he's not the typical villain, just a really, REALLY flawed person. (Again season 8 changed that for me so maybe that's another reason why I didn't like it lol)

All this talk about Warren makes me wonder if Andrew even knows that he's still alive. It would be interesting to see the two of them interact again.

I hope they do meet again. I can imagine Andrew saying "It's The First! Quick! Kill it!" or something to that effect. I watched The Killer In Me only last week and I think it's a fantastic episode. But I didn't really feel sorry for Warren, more for Willow, which you know, is fitting because the episode was about Willow's guilt. The only problem I had with seeing Warren again was the retcon. "Do you know I had maybe seconds before I died of shock alone?". Oh no, he died for like a second, Amy didn't want to hurt his feelings. While I have to give Joss credit for the hilariously pathetic explanation, I did have issues with the implications of the statement. I have nerd brain. I need the rules to be followed!

I could never feel sorry for Warren though. He murdered Tara, that alone makes him the worst kind of scum in the Buffyverse.

I think its interesting that Warren and firstevil - Warren are near identical. Compare this between Buffy and firstevil-Buffy in the last few episodes of Season 7. I think it shows how evil Warren actually was that the First acted exactly like him when using his form.
Eh, maybe its due to the different actors takes but it strikes me nonetheless.
Besides Warren in TKiM being sympathetic because its actually Willow, can anyone point to a scene where he acted humanely, vulnerably, sympathetically?

When the first was in Warren's guise it was acting as Warren, when it was Buffy it was speaking its own mind in her form.

I just find Warren really repulsive and one of the least likeable evil characters.

Up until now, Warren was your average joe wierdo. There was nothing to him that made him stand out. I hate him like poison, but he is most realistic villian in the entire series.

I am shocked and appalled! Warren has got to be my favorite villain, with Caleb being a close second. Warren is awesome.

Hell no. When Warren died, I laughed.
He made a great villain, though.

Warren had everything a good villain needs. He was funny, manipulative, and frikkin twisted.

I hate him like poison, but he is most realistic villian in the entire series. Maybe this is my I really didn't enjoy the whole Warren character. Enough real stuff was going on in the verse without having a real human villian. Warren gives me the willies and I find myself hating him. I guess that means Adam Busch did his job; we are supposed to hate him. Kinda funny that him and Amber are together. Do ya think they sit around talking about the days when he killed her?

I hated warren but he played the villain perfectly the same goes for Caleb and adam through most of the seasons i have liked the villains spike, angelus, glory, the mayor, the master but with warren and Caleb i really hated them so does that mean there better bad guys than the rest?
And alot of the reasons i think warren was a great villain was because compared to all or most of the other bad guys when he killed Tara and Katrina he had a soul warren was just evil and twisted the others had an excuse there evil thats why they kill but with warren he did for the power.
