Oh how I love the score from Season 1. Every time Buffy did some gymnastic move and the music did that little twinkle...makes me giggle every time.

What do you mean by overrated? I don't mean overrated as in "DEATH TO SPIKE!" I really enjoyed his character, but I think he got kind of annoying in Season 6 and the beginning of Season 7. "Buffy, Buffy, Buffy", it got old fast, he was just to mopey. I did start liking his character again near the end of Season 7 though. Plus, I just think some of the fan worship for his character is insane, hence the overrated-ness. And I got sick of seeing him naked every episode. thanx for explaining that.

I know it was intentional and everything, yada yada yada, but...
Tara's stutter. Goodness gracious, made me cringe every single time.

Spike is easily the most overrated character in the Buffyverse. Agreed. He got so annoying in the last 2 seasons.

I agree about Cordy's hairstyle on ATS. Her hair changed way too much. I especially disliked when she went blonde. She looks the best with either really long brown straight hair, or short brown curly hair. Her best hairstyle ever is in "You're Welcome" though. She rocked that hair I too hated Willow talking to the computer in "I Robot, You Jane", I thought it was ridicoulously cheesy. I always giggle too when Buffy wakes up in "Prophecy Girl" when Xander revives her. That gasp was so cheesy. I also agree that Spike was really overrated. I love him in the early seasons (before he gets obsessed about Buffy), but in season 6 it's kinda like the Spike show. lol. I mean James looks fantastic shirtless, but it was just too much. I also hated Willow's tights in "Selfless", it was just a strange outfit in general... I can't think of anything negative about Anya, she always looked great. I especially love it when she has straight long blonde hair.

- Bai Ling, Azura Skye, and the chick that plays Riley's wife Sam are the only three actors on any of Joss's shows who I just could not stand, but even so, they don't get the nod for worst performance ever. That honor goes to the guy who played the colonel (or whatever he was) who headed up the group that recruited Angel for the sub mission at the start of "Why We Fight". Talk about mailing it in. And that same actor plays Kate's 'father' on "Lost", where he's actually pretty good, so maybe he was just having a bad day on "Angel". - Aly looked best with short hair (S4, 5). - It's annoying they had Amy drop the Texas accent after "Fredless". It was cute. - The hair & makeup people, and directors of photography on "Buffy" (S4, 7) don't do as good a job with Eliza as their counterparts on "Angel" (S1, 4). Faith just looks hotter on "Angel". - The "Angel" hair & makeup crew don't do Stephanie Romanov any favors in S1. She looks so much better in S2-4. - Charisma was hotter before the surgical improvements. - The "Angel" people do something weird with Spike's makeup in "In the Dark" that makes him look very... un-Spike. - I hate the moment near the end of "Prophecy Girl" where they play a little excerpt of the theme song. It just doesn't fit, having it within an episode like that. - Speaking of music, there's a bit of score that gets played a couple of times during "Lessons" (specifically, at the moment Buffy's swinging the bag full of bricks over her head) that I just can't stand. - There's so many "Eww!" moments in S4 of "Angel", but somehow, seeing Cordy making out with the Beast is the most disturbing of all. - Actually, there's one other actress who I hate that should be added to that first group of three: the one who plays the virgin that Connor captures in "Inside Out". Seriously, when I watch that episode, I want to cheer when they finally kill her. The magic shop owner in "Lovers Walk" fits that descrip, too--yay on Spike for offing her.

Angel was as dull as a table lamp in Seasons 1-3 of Buffy, and Boreanaz's acting didn't do him any favours. (Although both the character and the actor improved by leaps and bounds when Angel got his own show.)
Charisma Carpenter is a very hit-or-miss actress.
As much as I love the episode, most of the Wesley/Fred scenes in A Hole in the World are waaaay too over-the-top (both writing-wise and acting-wise).
James Marsters's accent in Season 5 of Angel was horrible.
...More later.

Yeeeep. It had started to show signs of wrongness in late Season 7 of Buffy, too, but nowhere near as bad as in Season 5 of Angel. *shudders*

Hmm... I was never bothered by Spike's fake accent. Angel's fake accent though, on the other hand, was annoying. Thank goodness we didn't have to hear it much.
Eve is the most annoying character that there ever was in the Whedonverse, except for maybe Rona. Both were terrible. I hated Eve's whiny voice, and Rona was just plain irritating.

If we are dealing with gripes, here's my top gripes for each show.
1.The lack of anything of Buffy dealing with the attempted rape from S6 in S7.Even a half-assed attempt would have been better than nothing.
2.Connor.I actually liked him in S5 Angel, but otherwise,a very annoying character.
My others are kind of minor gripes, depending on my mood on that particular day.

The fight scenes between Buffy and Glory were some of the worst scenes in the show.
Also. When Willow says "Take that, scuz-" before hitting the wall in Wrecked makes me cringe with pain.

It had started to show signs of wrongness in late Season 7 of Buffy, too, but nowhere near as bad as in Season 5 of Angel. *shudders* I think his accent started losing its authenticity because he didnt' have Anthony Stewart Head as a sounding board for his lines. ASH helped him out with pronounciation in the first couple seasons.
