What if....??

Ok, I don't know how I came to this thought but I think its an intriguing one....what if Willow and Tara had been standing the other way around in Seeing Red? What if Willow had gotten shot instead of Tara???

What do you think would have happened? Do you think Tara would have kept her cool or gone after Warren as well??

Do you think she would have been able to save Buffy the way that Willow (almost Dark Willow) did?

Hmm... that's interesting. I've never thought of that.

I don't think Tara would have gone dark. Tara was always more grounded in magic and her emotions than Willow was. Tara had been a witch longer and was more familiar with everything. Willow eventually surpassed her in the amount of power she could access, but I still don't think Willow is at Tara's level of maturity. Tara would have let Buffy handle Warren (because the doctors would have saved her, I think) and just grieve and move on.

I dont think tara would have gone after warren like willow did, it's not the kind of person she was and as for saving buffy i dont think she would have been able to do that either, the only reason willow could was because she was all powerful and dark.

But think if things had of gone that way xander would have lost his two best friends in one day

I actually don't think she would have gone dark either but if someone killed my love and the closest hero was out of action, I'd at least try to get some revenge!

It may have also been interesting to see Tara remain as the Willow replacement. I mean we'd already seen Buffy confiding in her about Spike and being 'not entirely human' etc. so she was working into being a best friend. But still she was always very placid.

I hate my thought process sometimes...its taking me in all sorts of tangents!

I don't think Buffy would have died. From what I remember, the bullet was nowhere the heart, and since Buffy didn't caugh up blood, I'd say that the lungs were okay too, so Buffy would have recovered in a day or two.

I think Tara would have cried for hours and hours, and eventually Buffy would have found Warren and called the police, but Tara would calm, and cold, empty of symphaty, have killed Warren before they got there. Not with magic, since I don't think that Tara would know the kind of magic that could kill, so perhaps she would shot him with a gun.

After that, I think Tara would be depressed for a long while, and unless Buffy and the others really stepped up and were there for her, I think she would eventually turn into a very bitter person. And since Buffy and the other would be busy with their own grief, I could only see Dawn be there for her.

I think it would have been very interesting to see.

Tara doesn't have it in her to kill another human being. As much as I love Willow..Tara was just way more mature and responsible. Tara would have been heartbroken but she wouldn't dive into the dark magicks and seek revenge...Justice..yes but not revenge.

Interesting ! I think Tara would never have killed Warren, she's not as impulsive as Willow who showed us several times that she couldn't bear frustration. But I'd like to see what Dark Tara would have looked like !

Tara would have never killed Warren, even if she wanted to. She didn't have nearly as much power as Willow did.

Uh... I don't think Tara would go all dark, she's used to death. Well, you never get used to it but you know what I mean. The world goes on. So, Buffy would probably have died from the bullet wound to her shoulder. Sad stuff.

true. Buffy would've died, and all the events of season 7 wouldn't have happend. Come to think of it, with Buffy and Willow gone....the lives of everyone else might have had less problems.

EDIT- Although in the Buffyverse, you can stake a vamp several inches from the heart and he still dies...

I asked this same question here once. Great minds and all that. ;D

I suspect Tara would have been very sad, then she just would have gotten over it. And then met Kennedy, with much hilarity ensuing. But I would absolutely love to see Darth Tara. That would be just great.

I never would think Tara would go dark...she was always the one that let things happen and didn't really meddle around with magic. Going after Warren? Nah, she'd probably be upset but not to that extent...she doesn't really seem like the type to go "after" anyone.
