I think I'm done buying the Buffy comics after this arc. I don't enjoy them, they just don't feel like Buffy. NFFY and WATG were really good, but TOYL is ruining it for me. But I'll wait until the end of the arc to make a decision, it just doesn't feel like Buffy to me.

In Buffy's case, I wanted to stop watching throughout most of Season 1. Just too cheesy and shallow for me. After that, it was all good -- sure, things like Beer Bad and Gone grated, but not so much that they'd discourage me from continuing -- until Season 8. Which I'm just dropping and picking up again and again, half-heartedly hoping that it will eventually start feeling like Buffy.
In Angel's case, again, most of Season 1. I still skip all of it except for the crossovers and the finale in my rewatching sessions. That's the Buffyverse season least worthy of Whedon's name in the credits, as I see it.

Dark Willow was a lame enough decision, but having frikkin Willow try to end the world was by far the worst decision the writers ever made. It made for a very tense and action-packed conclusion to the season, but it was still uber lame.
That being said, I never wanted to stop watching. How could you? It's "Buffy." Same with "Angel."

It made even less sense if one takes into account Marti's comments that they wanted to avoid another "Oh, the world's ending again" scenario. They managed to do that throughout the whole season, but balked in the last few episodes? What, wasn't Dark Fricken Willow juicy enough to hold the finale on her own, without another apocalypse? The only thing I'm glad for is that it gave Xander the chance to save the world for once.

It was just stupid and pointless. It's pretty obvious we know the world isn't going to end, but if the writers do a story like that, they have to make it exciting. The "end of the world" in Grave was just idiotic. I agree that it was a great moment for Xander, but I think it would of been just AS dramatic, maybe even more so, if he stopped Willow from killing Giles.

Yep, exactly. I love Grave as a whole, for its cathartic function and great character moments, but that particular creative decision was just lame.

For Buffy, I think I thought about stop watching in season 4 when the whole initiative thing came into place. I didn't like it one bit... thought it was a bit stupid.
And as for Angel, I always liked it i sort of got a stump in the road season 4 with Connor & Cordy alll hook-up pales, but I still wanted to keep watching just to look at the outcome of things.

OOH I like that idea.... or, OR if Buffy was knocked down by one of Will's spells and she was about to die and Xander arrived and stood in front of Buffy and saved her and did his thing and Buffy watched... AMAZING

It's true that the "apocalypse thing" in the end of season 6 seems to come out from nowhere, but I still like these episodes for the emotions they give. I'm aware this could have been as good without the apocalypse (stopping Willow from killing all the gang would have worked very well), but I still enjoy the actual plot.
