I found this here www.imdb.com/title/tt0118276/trivia"The character of Dawn was originally intended to have the power to speak to the dead. She was also supposed to be able to move objects with her mind. These powers were later dropped."
"Buffy's birthday was celebrated in the episode first aired on or near 19 January each year. In the first-year episode "I Robot, You Jane", Malcolm brings up Buffy's school records on his computer. In the first view, we see that Buffy was born on 24 October 1980, and that she is a sophomore. The second time we see Buffy's records, her birthday is 6 May 1979, and she is a senior. Joss Whedon finally decreed Buffy's birthday to be 19 January 1981."
"Spike's trademark coat cost $2000 from a top fashion store. It was then run over repeatedly by a truck to give it that distressed look."
"There are 43 churches in the town of Sunnydale (something to do with it being located on the Hellmouth)."
"It cost $5000 to "dust" a vamp using computer graphics""Originally another actress had been cast as Anya, but backed out after finding out it was only for two guest spots. The role wound up going to Emma Caulfield."I bet that chick got depressed when she found it it was more than two guest spots. "Joss Whedon toyed with the idea of making Xander gay instead of Willow."And for Xander & Spike to get together! I'm not making it up. "During Angel and Buffy's first lovemaking scene, Joss Whedon and sound editor Cindy Rabideau provided the heavy breathing, because they were too embarrassed to ask Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz to do it."EDIT- Melissa said this "And to the thing about Xander possibly being gay instead of Willow, I'm pretty sure Joss stated at Comic-Con this year that he never considered it. I was there." So the Xander-gay stuff might not be true.

Yeah, I heard about the Xander/Spike pairing, that would have been amazing and interesting and surely never boring, lol

Ew, no, I don't think that would have worked. I really can't imagine Xander being gay.
I'd heard about the Dawn having powers one. Wonder how the whole 'key' story line would have played out if she'd had powers? Certainly wouldn't have been posing as a normal girl then! lol

More interesting trivia:
"The character Jenny Calendar was originally to have been called Nicki. This was changed to Jenny to avoid confusion on the set, Nicholas Brendon being generally called Nicky by his co-stars. (However, in season 7, the character Nikki Wood was added and appears in several episodes.)"
"The entire first season was filmed before the first episode went to air, giving them the opportunity to go back and re-shoot various scenes. The scene in the library where Buffy states "it's my first day..." was actually filmed on the last day of shooting after they decided her original performance was too forceful and aggressive. Another scene added to the pilot (to fill in time as it was shorter than expected) was the infamous "you have something in your eye" scene where The Master blinds a vampire who had failed him."
"Originally, Joss Whedon didn't want either of Buffy's parents to appear as characters on the show. Accepting that that could get complicated, he settled on just having her mother, Joyce, appear. Joyce ended up staying on the show for five seasons."
"The character of Angel was supposed to stay dead after the season finale of the second season, but the WB network came to Joss Whedon with the desire for a spin off series, so Angel was brought back during the third season to set up his spin-off series."
"Nicholas Brendon was told by producers to stop working out, because they didn't want Xander "looking too buffed.""
"During Angel and Buffy's first lovemaking scene, Joss Whedon and sound editor Cindy Rabideau provided the heavy breathing, because they were too embarrassed to ask Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz to do it."

This is a little cute fact:
Remember Micheal, the wizard from "Gingerbread"? Well, he plays in a band named Rilo Kiley, and Rilo Kiley had a song featured in Season 6's "As You Were"!
P.S. Rilo Kiley is a great band!

Instead of poking them in the eyes, I'm going to say this to whoever brings up how chubby Xander got when they watch Buffy.

Wow this trivia is awesome! I'm happy they decided to bring Angel back for a spin-off series. It's hard to imagine what season 3 would've been like without him.

Sean Astin: Most people know him as Samwise Gamgee from the LOTR trilogy, but he also directed the Angel episode "Soulless".

Mikey from The Goonies....errrr...Sean Astin directed an episode of Angel? That is very random.
And to the thing about Xander possibly being gay instead of Willow, I'm pretty sure Joss stated at Comic-Con this year that he never considered it. I was there.

The dude that played Tucker, Brad Kane, who also did the singing voice for Jonathan in Superstar, was also the singing voice for Aladdin, in the disney movie.
Source; commentary for Superstar by Jane Espenson.

And to the thing about Xander possibly being gay instead of Willow, I'm pretty sure Joss stated at Comic-Con this year that he never considered it. I was there. I'm nearly certain Joss says in the commentary of a fairly early episode (S2?) that he knew one of them would end up gay but didn't know which until later. How I'll ever find that remark is quite beyond me (I'm thinking it must be either Phases or Doppelgangland; I'll check) but I'm pretty sure I remember him saying it.

Wow, I had heard about the possibility of Joss making Xander gay instead of Willow, but the whole Xander/Spike thing is definitely news to me! One things for sure, it definitely would have been interesting, to say the least!
Actually, I think it would have been neat to explore things from a male perspective....

"Nicholas Brendon was told by producers to stop working out, because they didn't want Xander "looking too buffed.""
Where did you get this? Mostly cause I heard of it and when telling some people they never believed me.
