I don't understand why Season 7 is under-rated by some fans. I thought it was such a strong season, for so many reasons. - Dawn finally managed to redeem herself from being the whiny brat to a young "extraordinary" woman. - Xander losing an eye proves that even the core Scoobies are not invincible. - Faith coming back - Cameo's from all our favourite baddies...who didn't go OH MY GOODNESS during the speech at the end of "Lessons" - Amusing potentials - Vi!!! - Finding out more about where the slayers came from and the fact that the Watchers were always being watched themselves! - Buffy's "cookie dough" speech - classic! Even the random, throw away episode "Him" was good and a nice break in between all the drama-rama. Okay so some parts were slightly less brill, e.g Rona (the bitca). But then each season has a downside. I say, Long Live Season 7!

I think I liked season 7 less than some other seasons because after season 6, I disliked Willow in a whole new different way and felt akward thinking about the other characters as well. For example, soul or no soul , I wasn't over Spike trying to rape Buffy. Season 6 just left a bad aftertaste that lasted until the beginning of Season 8. Also, Giles trying to kill Spike, very bad.
I think that so many new characters where introduced in one season threw us. A bunch of people coming on, several of them pissing us of and some of the good ones getting killed... I haven't counted, maybe I just feel that way, but man, Robin, Rona & Kennedy really pushed my buttons.
Also, I liked the idea of Buffy being special. Then the potentials(and in the end the chosen potentials) was pushing Buffy of her throne.
I just feel like a lot happened in season 7 that needs closure. Maybe after seeing if Willow is cheating or not and in case Giles and Buffy will make up in season 8 will help.
I don't dislike the seasons, it has great episodes, good action, great character development, but it's definitly not my favorite season.

I loved the first half of season 7. It had some really great episodes (Selfless, Conversations With Dead People, etc.) and the plot looked like it was headed in the right direction. Plus, we were just starting to get the Scooby dynamic that we'd lost in season 6 back, and I was hoping that meant we'd get more high school-esque scenes with Buffy, Willow, and Xander.
Then, the Potentials came, and it all went straight to hell.
Overall, I guess I'll just go with "It's Okay" because it had some strong moments thrown in and Andrew was hilarious. Really, though, the only season I think is worse than it is season 1, and that's because I hate season 1.

Season 7 was amazing in my opinion. Except I hated the crazy Spike eating people story. Blah.

God, I loved Season 7. There were so many parts of it that I loved.
-The scene at the end of Lessons. I was giddy in my chair as I saw that happening, I adored seeing The Master again. He's one of my favorite baddies. -Buffy's fashion sense re-emerging. I am glad she looked like a grown-up. -Dawn, while still being annoying, grew up a little bit. So, she wasn't as helpless as before, YAY! -Faith coming back and still being a badass while not killing people. -Spuff Spuff Spuffy! -Andrew was awesome and I was so glad he was thrown in there.
The first half of the season was great, especially before the Potentials got thrown in the mix. I did like a little bit of their stories, but I feel like a part of the series was lost with the new people in the end. Eh. Kennedy, totally could've done without her, but moving along and whatnot...hmmmph...
I loved the one-on-one scenes with Buffy and Caleb, that was awesome. The uber vamp was cool, when it kicked Buffy's ass and just totally motivated her. There was a lot of good, but some bad thrown in there.

Too cool for a custom title. Wait...
I only talk when I've got something to say. Though that something may be inconsequential and random.

Eh, I run hot and cold over season 7. It's like Attack of the Clones to me- there are things I love and things I loathe. There's Jango Fett and Spuffy, but can that really make up for Anakin/Padme and The Potentials?
