Hey Guys,

All of you who posted your collection pictures have inspired me to start collecting!!!

BUT I need to know a bit about them first. So I thought a good place to start would be to ask you guys!:

What are YOUR favourite figures? WHY? (Post pics if you want)
And Where do you suggest I start?

I really like the look of the cartoony ones (I don't know much about though) but I saw some in my comicshop and they're really expensive.

I do like the regular ones too. I'm in Australia so will have to look around to find the ones I want - if you know any awesome online retailer who aren' too expensive shipping and such please post links here too!

Skytteflickan88 - what are the cartoony ones that is in your signature? How much do they retail for and how many are there? (Anyone can answer this if they know!)

The one in my banner is a Electrik Tiki statuette. Two Buffy statuettes have been released(Once more with feeling and End of days). The OMWF statuette is pretty much sold out, but not the EoD(end of days) one in my banner. Two Willow ones are made (I think the dark willow one might not be relleased yet, neither the Glory one).

Other designs are planned(Caleb, Faith) but it seems like Spike won't get made (sign my petition here www.thepetitionsite.com/1/save-spike-statuette )

Thanks Skytte *HUGS* ! I had a good read, and have decided tomorrow morning (it's 12:40am at the mo') I'm running down to my comicstore after Uni to see if they have any tooned in stock. Maybe I'll get lucky n they'll have a omwf Buffy ( I think I like it better than the EOD one) and then I'll start my collection!!!

MAC figures are the best ... Are you going to open them? I did when they first came out (I was like 10?) but don't have any of them any more.... lost, broken ect... But I re-bought them all from from the same shop years later when a guy sold them back to him...

also get the 12" ones, that What I am starting now.

If you're a fan of high school era Buffy, then the original 6 inch figures from Moore Action Collectables may take your fancy. The line lasted 4 waves before the company went under...

Series 1 - Buffy, Angel, Willow, The Master
Series 2 - Buffy 2, Giles, Oz
Series 3 - Xander, Cordelia, Spike
Series 4 - Drusilla & The Gentlemen.

There's a number of variants for each too. There's also 1 wave of Angel figures consisting of Angel, Cordy and Faith. Sadly they didn't get approval for a Doyle (you seem to be a fan), in fact there's no real Doyle merch out there. I made my own lol

MAC figures had their issues but the DST ones are utterly terrible. I wouldn't advise you move onto their stuff.

The DST Anya's, Willow's, Tara's, Darla's, Spike's, Vamp Angel, Illyria and Higher being Cordy are DST best ones... so I would get them if I were you...

I've decided I like statues better than busts and action figure. Are the 12inch statues or action figures? How many are there and who makes them?

I'm happy to say I've got tooned Willow, and Buffy OMWF on the way! Was lucky to find both of them. YAY!!!!!

Yes, I think they are all on there...

I just came home from getting the Willow statue and I hope to one day find the Buffy one... I just need to pick up a few cheap figures to put with her (all mine are MOC) but I think that I will still be giving the 'tooned' stuff a miss for now...

Yes I will very soon... Bust, 12", figures, Ornaments (but not YW Cordelia ) she and Illyria are the only figures I still have on display in my room lol

The Fred figure was really bad... big, fat and ugly....

Why only those two? Well I only wanted to dispaly figures that looked like they could be from After the fall... so I had 'S5' Angel, Vamp Spike, 'Season 3 Buffy' Wes ect... but Cordelia and Illyria are the best looking so they were the only ones I left up...

Oh that's pretty awesome. Atf theme is cool! I really want the Tiki ones because I don't think the figures n busts look enough like to characters to me. So the tiki ones which are totally interpretative and artistic would be a nicer thing fo me to look at than to pic the faults in the 'realistic' ones. Plus their really colourful and compliment each other.
