Starting tonight... yippee!
Actually, I've never seen an episode. I'm planning on starting it tonight... but I'm getting cold feet. Should I start back with season 1? Like is it a show that you have to have seen every episode to understand what's going on?

I'm usually one of those people who must watch shows from the beginning before I go into the new season, but the Office isn't one of those shows. You'll quickly catch on to the characters' personalities and situations. Kind of like Seinfeld - not much going on, but it's hilarious! Let us know what you think of tonight's episode later. I'm, for one, excited.

The Office is one of my all-time favorite shows, and the premiere each year is a day that I greatly anticipate. Tonight is no different, and I can't wait for Season 5 to kick off.

So what did everyone think of the premiere? I thought it was fantastic, as usual. I won't give away any spoilers, but I was very surprised at what happened with Jim and Pam at the end... the way things were going, I thought it would be the complete opposite.
Kelly passing out was the funniest part... until Michael tore up those concert tickets! Hysterical.

It's hard for me not to love an episode of "The Office," so I of course loved it. Lots of stuff was covered in this episode (one of the reasons I love hour-long episodes), and this season is off to a great start. The Michael/Holly relationship is absolutely hilarious, and I am glad Amy Ryan is appearing on the show. One disappointment I did have was how quickly it was resolved that Holly figured out Kevin wasn't mentally challenged (albeit, it was hilarious).

I thought it was hilarious! I threw an Office party and everyone but me had seen the rest of the series... so there were a lot of "WHAT?!?!?!"s going on and "OH!"s that I didn't really get. But I thought it was great.
But I just bought a Netflix subscription, so I'm getting caught up on the episodes right now. I'm halfway through season 2. lol.

So, I've been watching The Office on Netflix... and wow. What the heck have I been missing? This show is amazing! I hope to be [mostly] caught up Thursday before the new episode airs.

Oh, you should definitely give it another chance! I don't know anyone who just doesn't like it (only those who just haven't seen it). I will say, though, I couldn't get into the BBC Office. British humor is either a hit or miss for me.

Thanks Wyndam. I love this show. Rainn Wilson has made Dwight into what every character should be. 100% believable.

ahhhhh! i couldn't find this for the longest time! thanks Wyndam!
Dwight and Michael were my favorite characters in the beginning, now they're my least favorite. i think they're really annoying and not funny anymore.

The characters have all developed to the point where I think the show is too big for 30 minutes. The hour long episode last week was great because we got so much of the fringe characters like Kevin and Andy which is always a good thing.
Tonights episode had a hilarious Meredith line about an "Upper Decker" her kid dropped. This is pure Meredith and just confiorms why I love this show so much. Well written, individual, unique characters.

is it still double posting when the posts are 5 days apart? Seems pretty picky to me. Plus it is faster to use the quick reply. But I will conform and comply I suppose. I agree with your take on the whole bad plot thing. But the Mukdek vs. Murder line was gold.
ps- what in the blue blazes does "sad alex" mean?

I'm pretty much in love with the Office. I had lost track of it during season 4, but I just decided to get back into it because my friends told me that Angela had Dwight's baby. Turns out, I'm really gullible, but it was worth it, because the Office is one of my favorite shows. I did not see the latest episode but just a general comment on season 6, I am not liking Jim as manager.

The forum stays tidy and people can view one person's post and then another. You can Edit your post to add to it. If you want it to highlight as a new post just copy your previous post, and add to a new post and delete the original. Sad Alex, is snizapman. Thats his name. On a personal note, I just don't get Gervais, and I mean... at all! thank you Ray.

fixed it. Sorry for the noobness. I am not a big Gervais fan when it comes to him as an actor. I can't get into the Brit Office at all, no matter how many times I try.
