Okay, so I thought I'd have a go at making banners and avatars. I'm not all that great at making them, but I give it a try and I usually like the result. I made them using Paint & Photoshop, so here's all my artworks. Feedback and commments are appreciated

I thought that's where the font was from, I just couldn't put my finger on it. I really like the concept though, I've never seen an Angel/Booth combo before. Very interesting, is this your first one?

oh really? My bad, I only ever watched a season of Charmed, then Shannon Doherty left and I was like 'eh'..hahaha

Yeah, it is a bit big. I made it just before I went to sleep, so I'm gonna correct it and make it a bit smaller, but thanks all the same
EDIT: I've fixed up the 'You're Welcome' set so it fits and it's not so blurred

No, I can't. I have no idea how to use Photoshop really well apart from blending and a few other things, so I use paint a lot. Though I'm starting to figure a few things out with Photobucket

I'm new to photoshop, but I think I can help you there.

In photoshop, I usually open a new image the size I want my banner (500x150) and set the background to white or black. Then I open each picture I want to use (you can tab between them using the bin to the bottom) and lighten/darken, crop them. Then you can simply click and drag each image to the banner background as a new layer and resize them as needed by clicking and dragging an image's corner.

That make sense? Sorry, it's a very kinesthetic process, hard to explain in written format.

Um, I actually don't have Photoshop. I have PhotoStudio. Oops, I got them mixed up, but is there much difference between them? Cuz your tips, Raz, do work in PhotoStudio...which has now just frozen on me as I type this *sigh* But thanks very much for your tips, Raz and Bec

I think your coverama poster is one of the best things you've done. Well done, I can see it would've taken ages!

I really like the concepts and things you're putting in your banners, the screencaps you choose and placement is brilliant. It can be really hard to get the hang of it if you're using certain programs, from the few times I've used Photostudio I think it has a lot of limitations. However, there are somethings that if you find out how to do will make a world of difference in ease and final product of your banners. PLEASE don't think I'm saying this in a mean way at all, I think you're fantastic for sticking at this with a difficult program to use and not tutorials to help you! So I decided to see if I could find somethings you might want to use to help.

So first things first: brightening the image/correcting the colour

From the notes on that page it seems like something that will be easy to pick up nd you might find fun to play with when you get dark screencaps and stuff.

I'm not sure if any of these will suit your program - but it may be worth a look

and I can' find a tutorial of how to do it in your program, but in photoshop when you press ctrl+t (to transform the image) and hold down SHIFT as you stretch the corners of the image it keeps the original dimensions so it doesnt stretch at all just gets bigger and smaller. Thats the simple way of resizing in Photoshop, so I hope there is something similar in Photostudio.

I think you really are improving, and if you had access to photoshop you'd be even better!
Like I said, I'm seriously not trying to offend you if I have - I only want to help and you seem to be enjoying yourself so I'm sure you want to learn things too!
