Jen, I really love your tattoo! Love how you worked the little bit of Buffy in there. Here's my tattoo, pretty basic. Got it because I love HIM and all the meaning behind the heartagram. I want to get one in the near future, but I can't decide on the right design. I want it to say "The Gift" on it, and some design, but I'm not sure of the design. Eh. I need creative help:)

i'm not too good with pain, but hopefully by the time i'm 18 i'll be over that & get one (i'm 16 now). i just finished Kat Von D's book & it really made me want to get a tattoo, i think they're so beautiful (when they're done right)

It really depends on where you get it and the level of detail.
Good rule of thumb with tattoos: if the fear of pain keeps you from getting the tattoo, you didn't want it badly enough.

It really depends on where you get it and the level of detail. Yeah. The smaller the tattoo, the less pain. My sister has three small tattoos, and she said only the outlining hurt a tiny bit.

Also remember this... women in general have a much higher pain tolerance than guys. Boys are bloody wusses. Gay boys are intermediate. lol

My tattoo on my shoulder didn't hurt until the second hour. It mostly feels like an annoying irritation rather than actual 'pain', but then you get tired and it starts to get to you after a while, and then the pain starts setting in and I personally get light headed no matter how much I prepare lol.
If you want to know how much pain you can take, try the pinch test. Pinch the area of skin you're thinking of getting tattooed with your fingernails as hard as possible. If you can't stand a simple pinch, then you won't be able to stand the needle, if it's do-able, then you'll be ok. Different areas have different pain thresholds, because of where they are located and whether there is bone or muscle under the dermis.

Well, the ankle hurts, sure, but not so much with the wrist. It didn't hurt all that much for me when I had one done on my wrist. Then again, everyone's different

I would love to have a tattoo in an original place but at the same time I want is visible when I want it to be and not when I dont... so back is the best option...
