I LOVE impersonating the Aussie accent. If im alone and pottering round the house I just talk to myself in a bad aussie accent. haha. I grew up in London and then moved to Cardiff, capitol of Wales, and currently live in Canterbury so my accent is a mesh of English and Welsh. People in Canterbury say i sound Welsh and people in Wales say I sound like a londoner. so meh. I tend to get really welsh when Im drunk, and love talking in actual welsh...although apparently more people speak Klingon in the world than people who speak the actual welsh language whcih is an amazing fact. haha. It makes me feel special. Maybe I should post me speaking welsh...my favourite phrase: I like coffee....translates as... Rwdy'n Hoffi Coffi. lol. YOU HAVE to post a thing of you doing YOUR accent aswell as your "Aussie" & Welsh hehe. That would be so cool! Puhleeeeeease |

My accent would be normal Aussie and sometimes I imitate Irish and Southern American horribly just for fun or usually when I'm bored. But don't ask for a recording, since I can't give you one and it really kinda won't be much different from Secret Scoob's

Awww Stakey I would love a hug! And I think I have a particularly annoying voice.. it's so 'high' and childish! EWR - THANK GOODNESS I don't sound to Aussie. I think you'll find most Aussies don't sound like the stereotypes envision us! We can imitate it pretty easily, but no we don't sound like Crocidle Hunter or Crocodile Dundee! Haha. |

Language changes all the time. New words, new rules, new sounds. And people who have contact with each other change their language in different ways than people they have no or little contact with. It makes sense.
For example, people in east China have no clue what the west Chinese are talking about.
And yes, I do realize that I might be speaking to you as if you're morons. Sorry.

No your not, but yeah I know what your talking about.
An example of this on small scale is my group of friends has a big list of words we have invented and use often. And while we are English speaking, these words are not understandable to other english speaking people as there is no universal definiti of our language, only within our group!
I'm sure a lot of you have a 'langauage' you us with ur friends and stuff.
This can easily expand into localities. In South Australia we call this specific meat-type roll thing FRITZ and that is what is to us and is marketed at us with that as the name. Go 50Kms over the boarder into Victoria and they call the same product DEVON and I had never heard that word until I went (just 130kms (about an hour and half drive) from my home town) on a holiday to Mildura! Hahaha.

So I'm just now joining in on the accent fun. Everyone's recordings were great. Does someone want to trade accents with me?
Pretty Please! Southern American Girl is so not my ideal sound.
Emmie is trying to convince me to do a recording. Ehh I'm not sure I think I will sound completely stupid. Maybe if she does one so people can hear her midwestern American accent then I will.
By the way I am also encouraging Just Willow to post her man frog voice!
