I'm not entirely sure what to make of this show.
Don't get me wrong, I love Neil Patrick Harris' work - have for years - but I don't know....It seems like this is one of those shows that takes a few episodes to get your attention.
First time you saw this show - the very first time, mind you - what did you think of it? Please be honest, I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to keep watching.

I loved it from the first second... "HAHAHAHA..so that's coming along" I think, considering there was only 3 installments, and they were only 10-15mins long, it was excellent at the Whedonesque character development and humour. If you liked OMWF and any of the funny silly eps of Whedon stuff you SHOULD like dr.horrible.
I'm suprised you don't like it already if you've seen the first episode? Each to their own! I've shown heaps of friends it and most of them go "Wierd...but I love it!"

I pretty much was instantly in love with it. IMO Act 2 is better, it has some of my favorite songs ("My Eyes", "Brand New Day").

I fell in love with it my first viewing as well. I bought it off iTunes the moment it came up for sale and took my iPod with me on a camping trip with my BF. We probably watched the first two installments 10 times while we were gone, and couldn't wait to buy the third installment when I got back because it was release on Saturday while we were gone.
It was so new and original, perhaps it was because I hadn't seen anything new by Joss recently, or that the writers' strike was on and nothing new was on TV for such a long time, but it really struck me as utterly creative and very much entertaining. It's got layers of funny lines. I had to watch it a dozen times to stop picking up subtleties.

at first i thought it was kind of weird and wasn't sure i would like it, but halfway through Act 1 i was hooked. it just took a little getting used to, and now i'm completely in love with it and watch it repeatedly my friends that i have shown it to loved it as well (with the exception of one, she just thought it was ok because she doesn't like musicals )

hahaha sad times. My mom didn't get Dr. Horrible. She said she didn't like the "glorification" of a bad guy. She's got issues.

NPH played the part soo perfectly, and his voice... And then "On the Rise" in Act 2... I was definitely hooked.

My mom did not like the first episode, which is odd because she loves musicals. Oh well. I come from a very musical family, it was easy to get into this. And NPH and Nathan Fillion are great together.

First time I watched it, I laughed through almost the entire thing. Well, except at the obviously "not funny" part.
