Well it was just confirmed that Chuck has been renewed for 13 episodes, and the budget for that will also be lowered. And Ausiello said that because of this some of the supporting characters will be cut back and it's possible that one main character will have to leave. Dollhouse has a fairly large cast, I'd hate for this to happen to it.

I think Joss is smart enough to work around it and make it work, so I really wouldnt worry.

Maybe what they have planned for season 2 doesn't cost as much as most shows. They probably have the same sets, fewer characters, etc

Yea t the guys who were talking about special effects and how much the little things add up to...to dust one vamp in Buffy and Angel it cost $5000. I kid you not. So, yeah, I see where these guys are coming from.
