Okay, this is probably something else that has been debated to death on ehre but I'm new so please indulge me.
Would we want to see a Buffy movie? I know I would but what about you. it seems a strange question but there may be some who feel that Buffy was nice and did its 7 seasons and why run the risk of tarnishing it.
Who would you want in it in terms of characters? The floor is clear for anyone, alive or dead, to come back for a film so let's have some ideas.
I would be interested however on this question: Given that they are meant to be eternal and unageing, is it really feasible to have Spike and Angel? or has technology moved to a point now where they could appear and then a little post work could make them appear youthful again.
let me know. i think it could be possible but it would really be down to the actors involved.

it would be amazing and i can only hope the stars align someday. I think it'd be awesome and fitting if it wasn't only a buffy movie, but included angel and his crew as well. I mean, it would make sense-they are all in the same universe. One big final blowout to end both buffy and angels stories.
& I don't buy the aging vampire thing-ive said it before. Makeup and lighting can make the angel and spike look younger-it's hollywood!

I agree that the ageing thing these days isn't really a problem so they could easily be back in it without too much hassle.
I agree that both shows could come together although the Angel series had its own feel and not sure if they could re-gel but I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
But it would be sad, if nothing else, that we would be deprived Andy hallett.

i know no more lorne for us. Little dose of reality for us and hopefully joss and the actors- make a buffy movie before you die, b/c like buffy says in 'the harvest'-"tomorrow, you could be dead."

Having been priveleged enough to meet Andy, I found him to be a very nice and fun guy. He had an energy that will be sorely missed in this world.

A Buffy movie would be a fantastic idea, but I can't say I'm to keen on the two different shows merging. Buffy had it's own feel, so did Angel and could see it turn into a huge mess. Another problem is where the hell would Buffy Season Eight fit in with it? Don't quote me on this, but I think I remember reading that Joss would just scrap the Season Eight had written if there would be a movie to be made. It's not only a slap in the face for the readers, but a huge waste of money. After all that is sorted out, I would love a Buffy movie!

Having not bothered to read the Season 8 comic, I can't comment about whether or not it would be better to scrap and start again or not but it must certainly be a slap in the face to those who have invested their time and money in it.

I really, really want a Buffy movie. It would be good if it was released in four years to celebrate ten years after the show ended

Yeah, some sort of anniversary would seem appropriate for the show. It really does hav ehte potential to be a good Summer blockbuster, and with Joss' ability to write witty scripts with some depth, it could be stunning. I just its better than Serenity

Buffy season 7 ended fantastically I think. I don't think they really needed to extend on it, but then the season 8 comic books were produced.
Would the movie be just, a 2 hour - or so, however long a movie is - plot of baddies and stuff? Because I don't really think it would be worth it, to be honest.
Plus, the whole "Vampires don't age" wouldn't allow us to use most of our favourite vampire characters as they look older and different now.

Looks like there is a new possibility of a movie. This was just posted on Whedonesque. May cause some people to vomit.

Oh my god this is disgusting. The Kuzui's are just leeching off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer tv show's success. They're the reason the movie sucked in the first place and the only reason there's any interest in a Buffy movie is because of the show and Whedon. No one cares about the Kuzui's and no one wants another Buffy movie like the first one.
If this happens, it's going to majorly suck. UGH.

Seriously. Joss has been more than vocal that these are the people who ruined his vision. Thank god they did though, or we probably would have never gotten the series. But this is just too much! There are a lot of reboots happening right now in Hollywood, and a lot of them make sense... this doesn't at all. There is no reason for it. If a studio wants to make a movie, the first person they should go to is Joss. I really hope it doesn't go past this stage.

This Kuzui Krapfest will last exactly as long as it takes 20th Century Fox to mobilize a small army of lawyers in black helicopters.
When the fan reaction to this news hits, the Kuzuis will have to find themselves a nice cave in Afghanistan to hide in.
Fox will not let this happen, believe me.

Never mind.

Well, the Kuzuis are already in Tokyo so it's pretty far away. And I echo relief at 20th Century Fox's lawyers being unleashed. If only we could unleash Wolfram & Hart on their asses. :vampirebite: Andrew, the movie was a complete bomb too. So it's not like they have any successful movies to their name. Buffy the TV show is the success. Blah this news just PISSES ME OFF.

To quote the great Ian Malcolm, a new Buffy movie without any involvement from Joss "is the worst idea in the long, sad history of bad ideas."

Australia says no. To Kuzui.
(It's funny if you've seen the "Ausrtalia says NO" ad campaigns...)
