There IS a comicy-looking variant. I have both covers, but don't know anything about a blank cover unless it was somehow the exclusive cover which would be very dang weird in a store and possibly impossible.

I read that issue WAY too fast while standing up and playing Magic. But I just couldn't wait. I waited all week for it, and an extra 10 minutes to finish my game didn't sound very nice. I think I missed a lot unfortunately, but I liked it quite a bit. How long after Not Fade Away does this take place? I thought it was going to be immediately after (the same night) but from the look of the book it is several days minimum. Also, does this mean the entire world knows about demons now? I was also wondering if the whole world knows about demons?

I think a few months actually. I remember Gunn telling the women to just think of the past few months as a bad dream. And I think Angel mentions something about a few months too. We will find out what happened on the first night soon in a standalone issue.

quick question...what's up with the cover that has no title or anything on it, just artwork? Saw it at the comic shop...didn't know what it was all about...as I thought there was a comic-y looking variant?...or is the one with no title/word the variant? Thanks! The cover with out any words is the Retailer Incentive Variant cover. www.tfaw.com/Profile/Angel-After-The-Fall-1-%28Retailer-Incentive-Cover%29___295137Tfaws note says: This is a special version of Angel: After the Fall #1 offered only as a Retailer Incentive. The back cover has been replaced by a photo of Angel from the series and a black background. Hope that helps!

Oh...how exciting was this...I received my copy Friday, and tore right into it. I couldn't wait to get to reading, so I stopped eating, and went to read it first. I'm excited for the next issue, since it's my cover...and now, I want to know what happens!! This was a great starter!

That is so true Cowboy Guy. Its really a great time for us Buffy and Angel fans.
I really loved issue one. I think I actually liked it better than the Long Way Home Pt. 1. The art is a little confusing and there is alot going on in the background. I didn't really like how they'd drawn Wesley either. It was like Season 3 Buffy Wesley, not bad ass Angel Wesley. But there must be a reason!
But I'm definitely looking forward to the next issue. This is awesome!

I missed this at Forbidden Planet cos I was on holiday (honeymoon, actually - so I had a good excuse at least ) Just ordered my copy on ebay, hope it comes quickly. Unfortunately, I have now read all the *spoilers*! He, he, I said ages ago that I hoped Gunn would get vamped - is he an evil vampire then?

Okay the fish REALLY threw me since I had not read the prior comic series. I must have sat here for a good 5 minutes saying "a fish? REALLY? a freaking fish?" I'm not sure I'll go back and read the old comics but if this fish is going to play a big part I guess I may have too.
The dialogue was really great, I had a couple of laugh out loud moments. I do have one complaint that the background was very busy in spots and a tad confusing to read at times. But all in all I am looking forward to the story progressing and getting a peek at what happened to everyone.

To understand Betta George (the Fish), you have to read Spike: Asylum which I quite enjoyed. I followed that up with Spike Shadow Puppets (I liked it too)

Hi guys, im kinda new here and i just went to the comic book shop not expecting to find Angel After the Fall, i thought it wasnt out yet, and it was one of the best comics ive read ever. I was hoping for Cordelia but Gwen was good enough.I have one question, so the Angel team is pretty much: Angel, Wesley, Gunn, Gwen, Nina, Connor, and that girl from the spike comic books. Is that all or did i miss somebody?

Angel, Wesley, Gunn, Gwen, Nina, Connor, and that girl from the spike comic books. Is that all or did i miss somebody? It's ambiguous as to whether Gunn still bats for Angel's side; I'm starting to think he's the Big Bad of this arc. We still haven't seen Spike or Illyira, but solicitations for forthcoming issues suggest there are going to be some thorny subjects there as to peoples' loyalties. At this point, even Wesley could go either way. Good stuff. I like my Angel team fragmented. MB x

I'd read the spoilers too, but hey it didn't spoil it too much. this opener was better by far than the buffy opener, it covered so much and set so much up as well. great artwork as well........ Spike has the cover for #2 can't wait
