www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0708/13/idwnov.htm: ANGEL: AFTER THE FALL #1[/size] Plot by Joss Whedon and Brian Lynch, written by Lynch, art by Franco Urra, covers by Tony Harris and Urru.
The official continuation of the Angel series! When last we saw Angel and company, they were charging into battle against Wolfram and Hart's Senior Partners and facing down endless demons in a dark and rainy alleyway.
Now, IDW Publishing presents the story of Angel: After the Fall, as presented by Angel co-creator Joss Whedon, with a creative team hand-picked by Whedon himself, the Spike: Shadow Puppets team of Brian Lynch and Franco Urru.
Picking up where Season Five of the TV show ended, the first issue in this maxi-series looks at who lived after that climactic battle, who died, and what happened to all of Los Angeles in its wake.
32 pages, $3.99.

Thw "Who Died" makes me nervous. I really don't want any of the characters to have died in the alley.

They've already killed off doyle, cordy and fred; in NFA they killed welsey too. I really don't want yet another person to die in the alley and make the gang even smaller.
Unless, you know its a vamp who shanshus and comes back as a human.

Well I am sure that Angel and Spike live cause Joss has said that they will a play a part in Season 8 of Buffy. I just find it hard to believe that Buffy has heard nothing of the goings down in LA.

I do think that there will be some sort of twist on the 'who died' quote... or maybe not. That's what makes it all epic though I guess.

Come on guys, it would be ridiculous, and insulting the the odds they faced if Gunn survives.

Joss has said somewhere, that he plans on using some of his ideas of his original plans for season 6 in the comic. So maybe Gunn does get vamped?

does that also mean Oz will be coming to Angel, or to Buffy? Joss said he planned for Oz to appear on Angel in season 6...

and a rumor was that he planned on willow be a guest again so she could restore fred's soul. I don't think that Fred's soul even exists anymore. That is why she never did it in season 5. I know that Oz is coming back to Buffy.

Yeah, Fred's soul had been destroyed by Illyria in the transformation so it is impossible to get it back

Well the plan was not to restore Fred's soul, cause like you said, it's impossible, but Willow would of done spell so that Illyria and Fred would share the body or whatever, they could go back and forth. Not sure how it would happen, but that's what I remember reading.

How do we know fred's soul was destroyed? That doctor said it was, but he could have been lying to discourage anyone from trying to restore fred, because he wanted illyria to stay.
Surely if illyria has access to fred's memories and mannerisms, she can access fred's soul in a way too? Maybe its just my lack of understanding of religious beleifs, but I dunno if its possible to totally destroy a soul.

I thought Willow was gunna split Fred and Illyra in two, though I heard lots of rumors around S6, I guess we'll just have to wait to find out.

I don't think that Fred would want to be back now that Wes is dead.

I wonder if we'll get preview pages like Buffy S8? I want to see what the interior art looks like! I wish Georges was doing this comic too.

Yeah, Fred's soul had been destroyed by Illyria in the transformation so it is impossible to get it backAs we all should know by now, NOTHING is impossible in the Buffy-verse! I'm still hoping for a return of Fred!
