I think that is the hardcover, yes.
As for the trade paperback, no idea what it will have or what the extras will be. It's release isn't planned yet.

Thanks. The old cover-version confused me.
EDIT: Fellow Europeans, where do you buy your HCs? I have found some on amazon.co.uk (so much cheaper than on ebay) but only one of the two hardcovers, and not from the same seller (I need to save on shipping).

I get mine on ebay. I already ordered my HC #2 (with the Buffy Omnibus 5), I can't wait.

Play.com only has this one in HC and vol.1 in TPB, so I'll look elsewere. Perhaps a bargain will show up on ebay. EDIT- Nevermind Forbidden planet had good prices on both.

Just got the book, and it looks great. I was a little disappointed because I thought there was a whole new story with Groo in it, as opposed to an entry from his blog (HA! "Groosablog"), but it was still a neat little addition. I also liked that Brian wrote little bits on other "First Night" stories that he worked on but didn't complete. I hope to see that Groo story some day! Overall, another great package from IDW for After the Fall.

My comic shop didn't get it in today. I'll probably try Barnes & Noble tomorrow, or another shop that's about 30 minutes away.

I got the book today, its not that great. I would have liked to see stories for everyone including angel, illyria and nina. Not much in the book but its only a 3-comic story arc so i guess there wasn't all that much u could have put in it.

Well we find out what happens to Angel after the alley fight in the regular series, and you can see what happens with Illyria in "Spike: After the Fall." Nina's story probably wouldn't be exciting enough to warrant her own part in "First Night."

I also agree with you that Spike's story is pretty much Illyria's story, and we get to see even more if it in Spike: ATF.

Oh, I thought hardback was the same as TPB. I should have checked how many pages there were.
And that free delivery thing, that's just for the UK right?
EDIT- I just checked. It's free outside too. What a bargain. I hope vol1 will be in stock soon.

I got my HC today... Woop The page order is absolutely phucked though Half way through the Wes story, it randomly goes back to Spike, which is duplicated from earlier, followed by Connor's story for the second time, and the cover for Lorne. Kate's story and others are abscent. Anyone else got this?

That is really weird. I've seen a ton of those books (got a big box that I promptly gave out to my friends), and none of them had that page-order. I'd take it back ASAP.

Got both 1 and 2 yesterday when I got paid (I really don't know how I'd afford all this without a part time job outside school lol) and they are brilliant. I really enjoy reading Brian's input as you can really identify with him as a fan. Which, by the way, he really is. You can tell he loves the characters and the story and I think the introductions and notes from both hardcovers give it a personal touch that makes a pleasant change from the thrown-together-to-make-a-quick-buck TPB and HC's that Marvel throws out these days. Bravo IDW and Brian! [Karma for Brian, methinks]I'm from the UK BTW, to the person that asked the question earlier
