Apologies for making this thread but I didn't know eactly where to looking for where you guys may have already debated this topic specifically. I've just decided to sit down and read all my ATF's at once. I just finished 9. The biggest debate I'm facing at the moment, as these characters are really important to me is IS FRED STILL INSIDE ILLYRIA SOMEWHERE??Illyria: "She's here. I try to push her down - but then I see the face's of those she loved... and she fights back. Wes: "There's not logical reason for any part of Fred to be inside of you -" Illyria: "I have told myself that countless times. But here she is, infecting me inside...and out." ? I've seen people around the board stating defiantly that Fred is dead and not inside Illyria, and then I read this. I understand most of you will have read past this already, and I don't mind if you spoil further issues in your answer as long as you write spoiler and issue #. I'll be reading them all within the week anyway!

A bit about #17 and my thoughts... No... well, no one really knows... but in the end, No.
Angel comes to recognize Cordelia's presence in the gentle breeze, trying to dissuade his pessimism about the deaths of Fred and Wes...
I think she is in heaven with Wes or if not can pass on after Illyria dies..

Nope, Fred was never inside Illyria somewhere. There was a ton of speculation about whether or not Fred was around after issue #5, but the end of Spike: After the Fall and then issue #14 told us, once and for all, that Fred really died in Season 5.

I haven't gotten to issue 14 yet, but I read Spike After the fall and I didn't get the 'Fred's-not-there' totality?

I haven't gotten to issue 14 yet, but I read Spike After the fall and I didn't get the 'Fred's-not-there' totality? I think that after Spike Atf the question is still open to debate. But after reading Angel Atf, it's sure seems like she's really gone. Soul and all. Illyria wants to be Fred but she can't. She can only remember Fred.

I haven't gotten to issue 14 yet, but I read Spike After the fall and I didn't get the 'Fred's-not-there' totality? The Sadecki demon looks into Illyria and can't find humanity. It's confirmation that there was no Fred.
