So what were the positive comments that you have towards Angel: Aftermath?
I have not read all of Aftermath yet, so I only have a few...
1.Nick Runge #21 cover is easily one of my favourite covers to come out of all the Buffy/Angel of the comics.
2.The Angel/Connor father son relationship seemed stronger.
3.We got to see Cordy again as a higher being. (not the best by all means, but still...for a fan of Higher Being Cordy, it's something) Um...
That’s all I got , next...

I like that they started up Angel Investigations again. The comics gave me the same comfortable feel season 1 did.
People might have complained about the lack of likeness in the art, and I agree it doesn't look that much like the actors, but it was decent. Smooth lines, good color.
It was a "safe" read. Nothing earth-shattering, but it was nice.

Nice covers? Saw Cordy again (though in a bad kinda way) and that's about all I can come up with

I liked that they started Angel Investigations over again, with different characters. That felt like a step forward. Whether or not it was done successfully is another matter. I hope IDW and other writers continue to develop this new team and their relationships.

I liked Dez as a character. I wouldn't mind seeing future "Angel" authors pick her up and do more with her.

The covers. I really love all of Gabriel Rodriguez's covers (especially #20 and #21), and Runge's covers (#19, #22). I like how #18 started, with Angel fighting various demons. I liked Dez originally, but I don't like James and really don't like the thought of another writer continuing to use them. I wouldn't mind if they were in #28, and then left for good. The smaller team was okay, and I like that Kate returned (even if Kelley handled her wrong).
Kelley had some interesting ideas, definitely.

The smaller team was okay, and I like that Kate returned (even if Kelley handled her wrong). I liked this too. She wasn't Kate-like but it was cool to have her presence there. Gwen too, I liked that she was included. Both Gwen and Kate had an interesting dynamic and I enjoyed the parts with them together. ETA - And that brought up something that is bothering me. I haven't read the last two issues (and probably wont), but I know Gwen wasn't in the last issue of the arc. What happened to her?

Although most probably wont agree, I think the outcome of the arc ie: The angels, the powers, any remaining lords, Seem to be ok jump off points for better story's down the line if the writers in question handle the topics properly. I think issue 18 and 22 were the best in my opinion. I do like how Kelley didn't try to over step her bounds and try to use too many of the whedonverse characters and instead mix between angel's crew and her own original characters.

I liked it how the comic was printed on paper instead of on broken glass.
And while the artwork may not have been great, it was still better than being punched in the face.

I just want to say that I think it's cool this board has a "let's make positive comments" thread. Not much of that on the internet. SlayAlive wins again!

Sarcasm at it's finest I liked that we got Angel Investigations again, that was nice. I liked the presence of Kate, and I hope other writers continue to use her from time to time.

I would love to see Kate and Gwen stay on in recurring roles. I would like the main focus to stay on Angel, Gunn, Connor, Illyria and even Lorne (he hasn't had a good, meaty role since Season 4), and then have Kate and Gwen to pop up every once in a while, unless the current writer thinks they have a good, worthwhile place for them on the team full time.

Well, this 'interNet' you speak of sounds like a really dark and unsafe place. Yeah, I really just want the focus to stay on Angel, Gunn, Connor and Illyria..I would be fine if James and Dez just make the odd guest spots, and the same with Kate and Gwen.

Well, since Im a huge hater of this arc, Ill be nice and say good things for once! 1. I liked seeing Kate again.(I wont go into her bad parts) 2. The covers were pretty good. 3. I liked that they started Angel Investigations again. It was... I think it was a interesting place to go, now that everything has happened.

In all seriousness, I actually liked the new characters. I hope Dez and James get to have their storylines wrapped up and don't get forgotten about.
I liked that Aftermath built on the mythology of the Buffyverse. Revealing a little more about the Powers that Be and the Potentates that work for them, etc.

The VERY few things I liked about Aftermath were the fact that Angel Investigations is back up and running. I don't like that they are in a church, they should have been in the Hyperion. I also liked having Kate back. I didn't like how she came back, how she looked, or how she acted. Just that she came back. Oh and I liked the first few pages of Issue 1, very old school "Angel". Yeah, that about sums it up for me!

I liked Dez as a character and I hope she comes back. I loved all of the B covers. I liked that Angel's core group completely changed. It used to be Cordelia, Wesley, Gunn, Lorne, and Fred... but now it's Kate, Connor, Dez, James, and Gwen. I totally loved that, no doubt. I liked the idea of starting AI back up.
