This episode intrigued me. I can't wait to find out how Echo deals with the real world as an empty-shell-baby-person. She looks HOT in those leather pants.

I'm looking forward to this episode more than the other ones (besides the pilot).
But I'm looking even more towards the one AFTER this.

According to TV.COM: Echo becomes a blind women so she can infiltrate a very secretive and well-guarded cult. Sounds awesome.

Looks intense.
Isn't this "dollhouse" thing like reallly reallly high end? Echo is using a $19.99 pre-paid cingular cell phone. Haha. Cute.

This episode looks like it's going to be interesting. I want to see how Echo acts when she's up against something difficult but it's only her empty shell. I can't wait till the blindness episode!

SPOILERS! What a cool episode. Sad it was mostly standalone so there isn't much to discuss, but I thought it was really good. Love heist stories, and add a kickass Eliza Dushku and it's perfect. And on the subject of Eliza, I thought she was stellar this episode. Her doing the 'tabula rasa', trapped and confused, was amazing. Really glad we got a few more self-aware moments, with the painting of the mountains and "broken face". The moments of self-awareness are the standouts I think. Thought it was sweet seeing two different Actives with the same persona, Eliza and Dichen did it great. And what a lovely montage at the end.

Episode 4: Gray Hour - Questionnaire Favorite character: Echo, we saw a lot of her this episode and she was just awesome. Least favorite character: Guy Echo kills at the end. Favorite scene: Probably the scene where Sierra/Taffy instructs Echo on how to open the door, I just loved how into it Echo got. For a character that is supposed to have no personality, Echo sure has a ton of it. Loved it. Least favorite scene: The scene where Echo and the wounded guy chat about the Picasso, it went on a little long, and the guy rambled. Biggest surprise: When Echo stabs the guy in the neck with the needle. Thing you saw coming a mile away: One of the vault robbers double crossing the team. Thoughts on Echo's personality: Taffy...was amazing. We saw very little of her in this episode, at least in Eliza, but what I did see, I loved. The way she would go on and on about all sorts of bank robbing techno babble was just awesome to watch. Her interaction with the other vault robbers was great too. Sierra's Taffy was a little more low key, as she wasn't doing anything exciting, but Dichen really played her perfectly. Thoughts on this week's engagement: You know it is hard to talk about the actual engagement, as it really ended as soon as Echo was wiped, forcing Boyd to complete it. This episode was more about the fallout from Echo getting remote wiped, which I absolutely loved. Question you want answered most: Why did Alpha remote wipe Echo? Did you enjoy this episode more than the prior one? Yes, definitely. This episode MAY be my favorite so far, or at least tied with Episode 2. I really, really enjoyed it, and mostly because of Echo. The way she reacted to everything was great, and surprising in a lot of ways. And I agree with Ethan, Eliza was phenomenal in this episode. Next week's looks freaky as hell! Blind Eliza, yay!

Episode 4: Gray Hour - Questionnaire:Favorite character: Definitely Echo, she was perfect. Least favorite character: The two vault dudes. The one who double-crossed and the one who didn't help Echo were annoying. I was so happy when she killed him at the end. Favorite scene: Probably when Echo is looking at all the paintings, especially the one with the face. Least favorite scene: Probably the ones between Topher and that chick. Those were kind of annoying. Biggest surprise: Taffy knocking out the hotel-owner dude and Echo bringing the vault dude with her when she escaped. Thing you saw coming a mile away: Echo's escape. Thoughts on Echo's personality: Loved her. Such a chill care-free attitude, sort of reminded me of Gwen. The laugh was great. Thoughts on this week's engagement: The heist was cool while it lasted. The midwife thing was great too. Never expected THAT to be one of the engagements until the press release. Question you want answered most: Same as Wyn. Why did Alpha wipe her? Did you enjoy this episode more than the prior one? A lot more. Probably my favorite so far.

Quick thoughts on the episode. Really liked it. But the standout performance here wasn't Eliza... it was Dichen. Not only did she have to embody Taffy, she did it by nailing a lot of Eliza's mannerisms. I thought it spoke volumes as to how complete the personality imprints were to have two completely different women, acting exactly alike. A huge kudos to a supporting player. Oh, and Wyn... I actually liked the Picasso-moment between Echo and the two. Because of her lack of personality, Echo can't really partake in a creative process. She's like a child with a crayon, but has no idea what to do with it. An interesting thing about the episode was how she was exposed to some really abstract thought processes, like the bit with the art, and then the whole "bad guys" thing. The plot of the night was decent... heist movies have become too procedural for me, and the character of Taffy was kinda generic. What held it all together for me tonight were the performances. As mentioned before, Dichen was excellent tonight, IMO, and Adelle... really loved that outfit tonight. What's with me and older women? Topher... the jury is still kinda out for me. I don't dislike him, but right now, he's mostly the kinda neurotic science-guy, with none of that darkness that the character needs. Also... could they stop dressing him the way they do... the guy doesn't have enough neck for that look. Nerds wear more than vests/sweaters over shirts. God, get a catalogue already!
Interesting thing to note... a couple of scenes from the unaired pilot made it into tonight's ep. That early scene where Boyd and Topher discuss the flocking behavior of Echo, Sierra, and Victor, as well as the end, where Echo is swimming and then sinks into a fetal position in the pool. The beginning sequence didn't work for me, just because it's hardly been established that Victor is an Active, and that he mostly hangs with the other two. It would have worked better in the pilot, just because introducing it now without any sense of precedence just throws things way off. In the pilot, one could assume that it happened offscreen, but in the fourth episode, one would expect to at least see more of that if Topher was going to make a big deal about them hanging out. It was a good scene... just ill-placed.
EDIT: Evidently my quick thoughts are quite long and rambly.
