Highly anticipating tomorrow. I've seen a few commercials on tv which is just too cool. Going to watch all 13 episodes in one sitting. Won't be able to stop.

Well, would you look at this. Dollhouse sales are skyrocketing at Amazon.
Dollhouse is now #10 on the bestsellers list at Amazon for Movies & TV in general!
Dollhouse is also #3 on the bestsellers list at Amazon for just Boxed Sets!
This is the best it has ever been!

Picked mine up. Haven't had a chance to watch yet, but I am so excited for all the featurettes and episode commentaries (I am a nerd for commentaries, especially ones done by Joss  ). Can't wait to get this when it comes out here in Spetember, though I've already seen Epitaph One, but I am looking forward to the orginal pilot as I heard it's TONES better than Ghost.

I just got back from best buy and am about to spend a few hours indoors watching season 1. I'm gonna save the 2 unaired episodes for last.

I agree about the unaired pilot. I think it's even better than the one we got. Shame that so many good scenes did not make it into the final version. Oh well, at least we now have the unedited version to enjoy always. |

I love Amazon. I have the membership deal where you always get free two-day shipping. But with Dollhouse they shipped it yesterday, and the UPS man showed up with it today, less than 24 hours later.
Already watched Epitaph One. Now a full-season re-watch is on the cards, leading up to the season 2 premiere.

I'm waiting for mine in the mail It was my goal, didn't think I'd be able to do it, but I needed to see Epitaph One. I just finished all the special features and stuff. The featurettes sounded great, but honestly they were kind of lame. They were short and full of information we already knew. Some cool behind the scenes video though, and a humorous feature with Joss giving us a tour of the Dollhouse. The deleted scenes were pretty cool, loved the Sierra and November bounty hunter stuff. The commentaries are amazing though. Eliza and Joss deliver non-stop laughs with Ghost. The Man on the Street commentary was a lot more serious, Joss talked about a lot of interesting things. Good stuff. Jed and Maurissa's Epitaph One commentary is very laid back. They were funny but also gave us lots of cool behind the scenes things. I had no idea people censored commentaries either.  Pretty good DVD. 100% worth it for Epitaph One alone. |

I don't mean they are bad, I just expected more. - The Making of Dollhouse: 20 minutes long, talk about how they... make Dollhouse. But if you've been following the show since the beginning, you already know what they talk about. There are a few interesting things though. I wish they talked more about the show itself and the characters, like the Buffy and Angel season overviews.
- Coming Home: About 7 minutes long. Cast and crew talk about how the set feels like a home because of how they've been together through Buffy/Angel/Firefly/Dr. Horrible.
- Finding Echo: Around 5 minutes. Eliza and Joss just talk about Echo's journey.
- Designing the Perfect Dollhouse: 5 minutes-ish. Joss takes us on a tour of the Dollhouse.
- A Private Engagement: Somewhere around 5 minutes again. Cast and crew get asked silly questions like if they would imprint someone, their fantasy, if Dolls really exist, is Joss a Doll...
There is a short, but wicked cool, Buffy/Angel DVD trailer before the menu. Echo, the commentaries and 30 minutes of deleted scenes are awesome though. |

I thought the special features where awesome actually. I thought they were gonna be crappy like Bones 2 minute features but I really like watching the features. I was dissapointed that we didn't have season overview but thats all.
Why the hell did they cut the bounty stuff? it was awesome and only like 2 minutes all together.
The commentaries were great but why do they censor them now?

Yay! I finally got mine today!!!
Its actually the SDCC edition because the son of a friend of a friend of mine was on that show "Who Wants To Be A Superhero" so he was there as his superhero self and said he would pick it up for me so I just got it in the mail!!
The letter from Joss is so cool. Its such a Joss letter but it comes on a hologram plasticky thing so when you turn it it appears and disappears. Its so awesome!!!

I have watched a few episodes of disc 1 (trying to pace myself ) and so far the only complaint that I have is the movie previews that start up every time I turn on disc 1 and I have to skip past them (although, the Buffy DVD trailer is cool. When is it coming to Blu-ray? ). Other than that, I am really happy with it. Love the Joss and Eliza Commentary On Ghost - so funny and had me laughing all the way through. And I have to say the picture quality and clarity of the Blu-ray is really amazing. I am really impressed with it. All and all, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I agree with hitnrun017, watching all the eps over again from the beginning has made me appreciate the series even more. Off to watch more Dollhouse! |
