The DVD set is currently #8 on Amazon's sales chart. This despite having been available for pre-order for many months.
It's gotten a lot of good buzz at Comic Con and elsewhere. Hopefully lots of people are discovering it now on DVD, with "Epitaph One" as the ass-kicking conclusion, and will tune in for season 2.

i just have to say i'm a little disappointed in the packaging... but that's the OCD dvd collector in me... otherwise, it's great. i'm watching Ghost with commentary from Joss and Eliza as we speak.

If that's so, then that is great news! I'm glad the interest in the series is increasing, especially since it delivers some outstanding episodes. Despite their few hiccups, the series also manages to promise that the pot is brewing for something delicious. Excitingly mad potential!

on tuesday evening when i purchased mine, best buy had 2 blu rays left and target had one.
i'm sure they had additional ones in stock in the backroom...

When picked mine up I checked a few stores to get the lowest price. FYE, Walmart, and Target all only had 2 left.

I could feel that they where leading up to something, and more importantly I care about what that something was. I was addicted to this show from the end of the first episode on word. I'm not extremely surprised that it is selling well. From what I have read Whedon's shows traditionally have sold well. Firefly did, part of the reason people where so upset with Fox canceling it. That and they just screwed up how the showed the episodes! Still great news though, even if it isn't all that surprising. |

Yeah I tried to buy the Blu-ray version of Dollhouse last weekend and totally failed. I swear I went to three different stores (Best Buy, Walmart & Target) and only found one regular DVD version. Thankfully I did finally get one yesterday. I got the last blu-ray copy at the Target near my parent's house. I'm so happy, I was starting to worry that I'd have order it online.
Anyway I guess this is great news for Joss & 20th Century Fox.

I pre-ordered my DVD on Amazon and got it a few months ago. I've been trying to spread the word about Dollhouse through my DVDs. I've already got two of my friends hooked! Woot!
As for the packaging, I didn't really mind it. It came with this little cardboard thing on the outside of the DVD and I taped that to my wall! (I dunno, I thought it was kinda cool...grumblegrumble...)
