The whole plot with twilight is killing me with Suspense,i really want to know who is behind that mask.I think its Glory or a furture scoobie.. I liked how Angel after the fall was in hell but then it spoiled it self.

Buffy season 8 gets my vote mainly for the biased reasons that 1) I've more of it than Angel, 2) Joss is helming the Buffy project but not Angel, so I respect it as canon more.

Season Eight by far, but in After the Fall's defense, I still have a few issues I need to finish.

i voted season 8. i'm not all the way done with atf, but i do know that i don't like the art a whole lot, and the diologue is too jumpy for me. it doesn't feel as fluid as the angel tv series.

I think I with-held before so I'd vote having finished both, but it's no longer necessary.
After the Fall all the way. There is no way Joss can redeem Season 8 enough in its remaining 5 issues to challenge Angel. Too much crap, too much frustration.

A lot of it was simply hard to grasp for me. While others were already screaming "epic" I was still going "wtf???". It's not that I don't like AtF but its epicness is too obvious and I much prefer the subtlety of Buffy season 8, especially in what is proabably my favourite arc, Time of your Life. There is so much to think about, characterwise and philosophically, it's quite unique. And while many of this board seem to have stopped trusting Joss, I'm simply curious how it will all play out. "I want to see how it ends."

I have two really big problems with After the Fall: - 1.) All of the pointless characters.
How many recurring characters were brought back? Pretty much all of them. How many of them were actually given something to do? Pretty much none of them.
- 2.) Bryan Lynch's fixation on his Spike books, Spike: Asylum and Spike: Shadow Puppets.
When asked if any "Once More, With Feeling" or Dr. Horrible songs would be appearing in his episode of Glee, Joss replied:
"I would have to say a resonant ‘no way.’ The episode isn’t about me. It’s the next episode of Glee. Hopefully my hands will be invisible on the show. You’ll just go, 'Why, that is remarkably good. It gives me glee.' That is my hope." I'm more than aware that directing an episode of a hit musical television show and writing the official, canonical continuation of a television show are different things, but it's obvious from the cameos and references to both of Lynch's past Spike comics that he doesn't feel the same way as Joss. I was fine with George coming over. He was funny and interesting and he actually had something to say. The rest of the stuff went a bit too far for me.

And while many of this board seem to have stopped trusting Joss, I'm simply curious how it will all play out. "I want to see how it ends." If Joss hung out here as a semi-frequent contributor to these boards, too, I think S8 would be showered with the same sort of praise, with nary a disparaging word to be found, as AtF gets. Anyway, I voted "neither". I jumped off the sinking ship that is S8 several issues back, and the only reason I didn't abandon AtF, as well, was that it was so much shorter--if it had gone on for 40 issues, I doubt I would've made it to the end of that one, either. And it's nothing about the "change in medium". It's subpar storytelling, plain and simple.

^i would have agreed with you on the sinking ship of buffy maybe two issues back, but after #35, i have faith that buffy (joss) will set this whole season right. i really hope so. atf in no way compares to how solid of a story that buffy has, even with it's continuity flaws and too much going on. atf, imho, and granted, i'm not finished yet, does not have enough going on. it's too slow and too sloppy.

So...by ATF do you mean the Angel comics with the ATF tag? Or all of the Angel continuation comics? If it's the latter, then I can't vote because I haven't finished them yet

Pretty sure this poll was made back when the ANGEL franchise was just "AtF".

If it's the latter, then I can't vote because I haven't finished them yet Not sure about anyone else, but I'm only talking about "After the Fall", the first 17 issues. Those were the ones that at least had some involvement from Joss, and therefore some veneer of canonicity. Everything from #18 on is really no different than any of the "Buffy"/"Angel" novels, or previous (pre-S8/AtF) comic series...

If we're just talking Atf then it's got to win- because both the Buffy and Angelverses changed greatly from their first season and I feel that Angel: Atf was willing to admit this and move on to a new storyline witht he same characters, whereas Buffy season 8 keeps clinging to the safe-bet routines of the past.

I voted for S8. I only read up to #25 in After the Fall, and I found it kind of hard to follow. That's me and my short attention span though. Although #24 and #25 featured Drusilla, so those issues are my favorite.

I would looooove to see Drusilla in the Buffy comics. Maybe in season 9.

Buffy Season 8 rocks. Angel: After the Fall is horrendous. My vote is pretty clear. I have to disagree with you, completely. I really have no idea what people see in S8 anymore. The first half was pretty decent. But since issue 21, it's been going downhill rapidly, IMHO. The last two arcs have been quite the mess too. 'Twilight' made little sense. I hope the finale arc will redeem the season, but I have little hope. And at this point, I'm trembling in fear of S9. -shivers- As for Angel: After the Fall... Amazing story. Amazing character development. (Only judging the Canon, of course.) The issues did jump around a little bit, like with First Night, but it wasn't too god awful. And than there's issues 23-27, which are somewhat canon, in my eyes. IMO, After the Fall stayed true to the show, whereas Season 8 did not. Season 8 has a completely different feeling than the show did. After the Fall made me feel warm and fuzzy inside, when I read it, because it felt like the show. I do agree that Aftermath, Immortality For Dummies, and Connorland have been a bit... Unbearable at times. But IDW proved that non-canon issues can be better than S8, when they published Angel Special: Lorne. That one issue may not be considered canon, but it's better than most of S8. Thought I'd share my opinion.
