We have a "best" poll, so why not a "worst"? For me, it was True Believer. I was excited that we finally got an episode where Echo wasn't a strong, kickass character, and that was all ruined at the end where she became, once again, a strong, kickass character. It was just weird and didn't feel like the same person from the beginning. The entire middle-end just kept dragging, and it's the only episode where I get totally bored. The standalone format was just old at this point too: a client comes to Adelle with a problem, Echo gets imprinted, the engagement goes wrong, the problem gets solved, Echo shows self-awareness.

Stage Fright was the least memorable to me. I liked them all though.

Stage Fright easily, they tried there best but it was a terrible premise from the start - crap episode.

True Believer
The Target is probably my favourite standalone surprised it got a vote!

Voted Omega.
When I first watched the episode I thought it was pretty good, but upon rewatching I think it is by far the most disappointing episode of the series.
Alpha was definitely cool, and I enjoyed that aspect but there were so many rushed plot lines and non-sensical events along with some terrible dialogue that I cannot enjoy it.
Terrible editing first of all to include scenes of Sierra and November getting imprinted and then no follow up to it whatsoever.
The horribly forced dialogue of 'Omega' or Echo when she is mass-imprinted. Speaking about "to advance on any level you can't force women in a chair!" and "especially now that we have a black president." Augh, I cringe every time I hear them. The first one is so obviously trying to show "hey guys Joss is still feminist, we swear, here's an overtly political message with no context or reason!" And the last one is just blah.
The ending was so anti-climatic, he throws her board/chip thing on to a rafter, she crawls after it, it drops Ballard catches it. Alpha runs up some stairs and gets away. Just a disappointing conclusion to a big conflict.
Why would Omega go back to the Dollhouse when she had just said that there's no such thing as willing slavery to Caroline (albeit in a different body), she had her wedge (that's the word!) and she clearly disapproved of the Dollhouse why would she go back there, ever? Especially when there's a chair thing there. Or, if she had to go back, you think she would do it in a way to maintain her freedom as Caroline and not just continue her service as Echo.
The end with her saying Caroline wasn't all that revelationary at all, the whole season she was showing self-awareness, way more self-awareness than just her uttering her original name at the close of an episode. It's made way worse by the fact that the footage was taken from the main pilot. We waited a whole season to essentially get to the same point that the pilot had taken us to originally.
I will give it credit though, the scenes with Whiskey/Saunders are definitely some of the best in the series. Especially when she lashes out at Victor telling him he'll never be his best again. Amy Acker delivers it perfectly. By far the best actor in the whole Whedonverse in my opinion. She always gets every line and every scene perfectly.
There are probably worse episodes, but I chose to pick the one that disappointed me the most, and this one won by a long shot.

True Believer would definitely be a second for me. Most haphazard episode ever, with all these plot lines that just drop off suddenly and don't go anywhere. Incredibly disappointing episode.

I didn't completely hate any of the episodes. But there were bits and pieces of almost all the episodes that I didn't particularly like. True Believer didn't quite thrill me. I thought it was going to be better than it was... If I had to pick one to dislike, I would probably go with Stage Fright. It's not really a commentary on the writing or acting of the episode so much as divas just annoy me to no end.

I voted 'Stage Fright'.. it isn't a bad episode, but definitely weaker than the rest. Loved the ending though.

I was so crazy about my love for this episode when it aired, and when I rewatched it on the DVD my excitement for it went down a bit, but still liked it. Yesterday, I finished rewatching it again and it just made my brain go insane. "But how..." and "Why did..." went through my mind more than a few times. There are so many little plot points that just don't make any sense and all the exciting questions about Alpha throughout the season were just ignored. Briar Rose was a great setup, but Omega just didn't deliver the goods. I don't think it's the worst episode, because it's not, there is still a lot of good stuff. But the whole Alpha climax was just a gigantic disappointment.

True Believer gets my vote. It was pretty dull, and not really worth a re-watch. Even though I understand the sentiments regarding Stage Fright, I thought it was pretty decent episode. I liked how they tried to show the bonds between the actives, although they didn't really touch on the Sierra/Echo friendship that much afterwards.
Just to piggyback on the Omega episode, I enjoyed it the first time I saw it, but upon the rewatch, there were just so many little things that bugged me! Most of the points were pointed out by lightandmagic, but just to add on, how convenient that Alpha tosses Echo's disk and it just happens to not shatter into a thousand little pieces-- you can tell the happy ending is coming. And Alpha playing Frankenstein with his makeshift chair... eh... it's been done.
Oh, and yes, November and Sierra got imprinted with some kick ass personalities, delivered some choice lines, and then poof. I was wondering about that myself.

True Believer gets my vote. I was never to fond of anti-mainstream religion based episodes in the Whedonverse. It's so...hypocritical. That probably wasn't what they were going for (I haven't seen that episode in months so it's way fuzzy to me and probably isn't at all how I remember it lol), it still pisses me off. I liked Stage Fright, but I hate it now because...well I'll be vague and just say it hits me too close to home.

Stage Fright is the least interesting episode for me, both in terms of its unique plot and its contribution to the mythology (nothing lol).
True Believer sucks too, but at least it provided interesting developements (Victor's man reactions & Mr Domonic's attempted murder). The way the cult mirrored the Dollhouse (which is even more relevent in Epitaph One) was interesting too, it's just a shame it amounted to such a dull story.
