This fall, 13 houseguests will be entering the Summers home, where they will be locked in and cut off from their family and friends. And while the house may seem familiar to them, the game itself most certainly will not be. They'll need to lie, manipulate, and outmaneuver their opponents if they want to win the grand prize and the title of Big Brother champion. One thing's for certain: it will be a game unlike any other.
* * *
Spread out over 10 weeks, each houseguest has but one goal: to be the last one in the house.. Each week, there will be a number of competitions that determine who has power in the house.
The first and primary power up for grabs each week, is the Head of Household. By winning the HOH (Head of Household) competition, that player earns the right to nominate two houseguests for eviction.
Also each week, there will be a Power of Veto (POV) competition. The HOH, 2 nominees and 3 houseguests chosen by random draw will participate. The winner of the POV earns the right to veto one of the HOH’s nominees, saving that player. The HOH then has to nominate someone as a replacement.
After the Veto Ceremony, the houseguests (except for the HOH and 2 nominees) will vote on who they wish to evict from the house. The nominee that receives the most votes will be evicted from the Big Brother house. In the event of a tie, the HOH will cast the deciding vote.
After that, the game will start all over again with a new HOH competition. The outgoing HOH will not be eligible to compete in the competition two weeks in a row.
HOH and POV aren’t the only competitions to look out for, as there may be a few Luxuries to win throughout the game as well. Also look out for a few twists and turns along the way so always pay mind to the official motto of Big Brother: Expect the Unexpected.
RULES
RULE 1:
Please do not cheat. Cheaters may be given strikes or expelled from the game, depending on the severity of the offense. If you know that cheating has occurred, it is your obligation to inform me. If you have to question whether something you're doing is cheating...it probably is.
RULE 2:
Please respect your fellow players. Drama is great, but when it gets out of hand it becomes abuse. Extremely personal attacks are grounds for expulsion. Basically, if you're going to argue with someone, don't drag gender/race/religion/sexuality/etc. into it. This is a great forum and I don't expect any of these problems, but I just have to make sure this is said.
RULE 3:
Failing to compete in a competition (and not informing me that you will be doing so) will result in a strike. When you receive three strikes, you will automatically be nominated for eviction at the next possible opportunity. Every new strike after that will result in automatic nomination as well. If you are going to be out of town for a few days, or you're swamped with work or something and can't find time to compete, simply let me know and you won't be given a strike.
RULE 4:
You may change your Eviction vote up until I receive the final vote. Once I receive the last vote, all the votes are then locked in and no one may change their mind.
RULE 5:
There will be other rules, in terms of how each competition is played. These will have to be followed explicitly. If a houseguest submits incorrect information or does something that isn't asked for in the rules of each competition, I will have no choice but to not allow that houseguest to continue competing in that particular competition. You won't receive a strike or anything, but in the interest of fairness, I just won't be able to allow further participation in that competition.
RULE 5:
Remember, it's just a game! Have fun, and do your part to make sure the game is fun for others as well!
