"The Chain" was my original pic for S8. It is a standalone issue and a really moving story. Upon second thought, though, I think I would also pic the first in the "Wolves at the Gate" arc (issue #12). This is a really hilarious issue and Wolves is probably my favorite arc to date (and no, it is not just because of Buffy/Satsu 
) The only thing that would stop me from choosing this issue is the fact that it is part of a larger arc. I would hate to introduce someone to S8 with this issue, only b/c I think it would be confusing for someone when they have no knowledge of the previous goings on of the season. I think overall it is better to stick with a standalone issue, which is why I ultimately chose "The Chain" instead.
