Well personally I value a human life as much as I value their humanity. I do utterly disregard Warren's life and I wouldn't hate Willow if she killed him a second time. Clearly we disagree on this matter on an intimate level, so I'll agree to disagree on this one. Whatever happens to Warren is definitely going to be something I'll be looking forward to reading in the finale.

We know Willow is back to her skinning ways this season... she did it to a demon in the Scotland base battle while interrogating him. There have been heavy hints all season that Willow is one short step away from the darkness. Killing Warren now would be a terrible turning point for her character.

I for one would also love to see Willow Kill Warren (again). I guess I don't value human life as much as the next guy. But it was Ok for Wes to kill the man who killed his love why not Willow? I am a big fan of vengeance when it is just. She is not Superman and this is a war against Evil. (But I guess it will be different if he’s trying to be good again.)

Thank you Hallow Thor! That's also a great example you brought up. Wes killed Knox. Was there any redemption on his part? No. But if Wes went psycho and started to hunt down every human that was involved in Illyria's resurrection then that's a whole different story. Even then, on Angel, vengeance was depicted as being viral back when Holtz was after Angel. Now THAT'S an extreme scenario. Holtz is right for wanting Darla and Angelus punished for murdering his family. But 200 years later, Angel has a soul and is (or was) fighting the good fight and Darla was pretty much already getting her dues. Instead of letting it go, Holtz not only mentally effed up a large number people in mourning but also seriously destroyed the childhood and psyche of Angel's infant son who was an innocent.

So... I was casually flipping through the July 2010 Previews mag/catalog today... and guess what I found on page 51? Yes, a one-page preview of #36. It's quite an amusing little page, basically featuring both Buffy's old squeezes in a series of flashbacks. While this may somewhat bend the rules of the forum a little, regarding posting scans, I thought I'd start the viral reignition of fan interest. So here you go my lovelies... until it has to go down that is.

Thanks for posting, Xi. Hmm, looks interesting. So while Angel's been rallying Buffy's enemies under his rule, Spike's been on the streets, seeing the whole "Slayers are fascists" conflict rise. I'm guessing also, based on this page, that #36 may be somewhat heavy on flashbacks. The wait for September grows heavier with each passing day.

Oh, this was so cool! Thank you. It does look like the Universe was indeed talking to Angel - via every mind/nervous system capable of transferring coherent messages, including every bird. The old guy sewing the costume at first made me think about the 'dollmaker' guy but the glasses are different. So, it appears that Spike looked at the footage of Angel visiting Buffy in Beautiful Sunset and was able to recognize him immediately. Interesting. I need to check my notes on when did Andrew start to exhibit his strange behavior... It is also about the time when Buffy get Riley to spy on Twilight btw.

Very interesting that "The Universe" was speaking to Angel through it seems any living creature on the planet. A jogging man, woman on bench, and even a bird.
Also interesting that Spike knew it was Angel from the jump off, pretty cool...and very Spike! So refreshing to have the character back in the Buffy plot.
But Spike in white socks?! *SHOCK AND HORROR* Hehehehe

Meaning - he got the thingy before he knew Angel was Twilight? Is it not fun that Spike is back in the nazi-submariner environs? And can somebody decipher what magazine cover is that on the floor? And was it 'Slayers why we hate them' brochure he has next to his laptop?

The title of the thing next to Spike in panel #6 (bottom right) is indecipherable (H-A-something) but it does look like the sub-heading says "Slayers: Why Do They Hate America?" or something like that.

It seems like the Uni can talk through all the living things - same as the First Evil could talk through all the dead things.

The question is, why did Angel believe all this? Did the Universe make him schizophrenic, forcing him to listen and act on the random voices he was hearing? And was it also affecting the rest of humanity, making them welcome vampires and hate Slayers in such a completely illogical way?

I'm guessing the magazine is the Harmony magazine, we saw bits and pieces of it on-line, right? Was it Harmony bites? That makes the timing pretty clear -- Spike doesn't get on the trail until after #21.
Angel looks to be completely insane. Of course he should question those voices. If he's not, he's nuts. And if you look at it that way, it makes sense of the weirdness that Angel is randomly 'hearing' from the tailor that he needs a costume while the tailor is making the costume. Did the universe just push Angel into the shop? Or did Angel go in and ask for the costume and hallucinate what the tailor was saying? Who knows? But since my first reaction to the Angel reveal panel was that he looked batshit insane, I'm going with batshit insane as the explanation.
And I love that Spike IDs Angel straight off, but Buffy couldn't manage it after an entire battle/conversation.

Well, speaking of the voices... watching Sleeper on Logo (again) and as both Spike and Buffy pass the harmonica player on the sidewalk, he's playing the song that triggered Spike into being all evil. If we attribute that to the First, then it seems logical that either the First or a force very much like the First could be communicating to Angel that way. We may also think of the possibility that Spike is telling the story, so his view of events is not 100% reality. I'm sure Spike would get a kick out of making Angel look totally insane.

^ You've got a point there. I remember seeing Spike's boxers and thinking "One: that's bad and two: doesn't he go commando?"

Haa, haa!!! Well said! And I’m curious about something … erh… Spike had wear these heart-shaped boxers when he had sex with Felicia and I’ve read a description of Angel issue 34 and he was wearing heart-shaped boxers again when he had sex with Laura… so uhhh has he got several pairs of these funny boxers or erh…he doesn’t change his underwear… Anyway, I’m trying to forget about Willingham’s crappy arc… I’m looking forward Joss’s arc and Brian’s Spike’s series! That’s the real Spike - spending his time alone, trying to help Buffy! I love his white socks!
